Review of Maui Poke

I had pretty high hopes based on the other two reviews, but was super disappointed! When I asked which sauces were gluten free, I was told they have GF soy sauce. I was confused, was that the only GF sauce? It was fairly busy so I didn’t press it. She suggested a particular bowl so I went with that. When I asked if the spicy mayo was GF (I have sushi and poke regularly and have never seen it contain gluten…) she said she didn’t know. I skipped it.

They also have boba tea and that sounded yummy. When I ordered it, she stopped me and said she doesn’t know if their boba is GF. No offer to check or anything so I skipped it. Again, I’ve had boba many times and never has it contained gluten.

The poke itself was decent and fresh, although a bit plain with the limited sauces and toppings. They were also out of avocado which imo is essential in a poke bowl

I would have thought Maui would be THE place for poke, but I’ve had way better on the west coast.
