The gluten free fried chicken is AMAZING! The staff was knowledgeable about gluten allergies and informed me that they have a dedicated fryer and gluten free prep area.

Champagne Cobb salad was excellent! Be sure to talk to staff ... most of their fried stuff is not okay but chicken is.

Their GF chicken was amazing! It was a great experience to be able to eat fried chicken again.

Staff was very knowledgeable. We had the deviled eggs and fried chicken. My son had the meatloaf. Wonderfully seasoned and crispy. Even my local grandma loved it!
The entire waitstaff was very friendly and our waitress made sure my meal was gluten free in all aspects. Their menu is over half marked (GF) “gluten friendly” and a couple items are (AGF) “ask for gluten friendly.” The thought to have great tasting fried chicken that is gluten friendly was an amazing treat as well. Even the fried deviled eggs were made with potato flour, so an extra added treat to have an appetizer as well. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone.

I got severely glutened from this place. I had the crab cake and gf fried chicken. They reassured me that it was a separate fryer and all celiac friendly but they mentioned they had a new chef that had started and he must not be aware of the sensitivities of celiac as I got very sick immediately after eating here. Beware.

OMG! It took my cousin from Chicago to come down to Houston to tell me she'd found this place online. I can't remember the last time I had fried chicken and I LOVE the stuff!! I've eaten it twice since March (it's July). I also have to be low-carb/ketogenic due to other metabolic issues and even though I ate 3 pieces, it did not kick me out of ketosis the next day! The first time, the waitress said that the people who have tried both the gf and regular actually say they like the gf version better!!!! It is to die for!!!!! So the plate is about 18 bucks. You get 3 large pcs of FRIED chicken, a leg, a breast and a thigh. It's a LOT of food. You get mashed potatoes, which are ALSO wonderful (but I had to sub due to my other dietary needs), it also comes with some collard greens that are not bad. I'm not the biggest fan of collard greens but mostly because I just have not eaten them a whole lot in my lifetime. It cost me $6 to sub green beans. It was a whole lot of them but I thought it was quite a steep sub. You could sub fries and one or two other things that I couldn't eat for free. As far as I know, there's no other way to get the chicken a la carte. You can add a piece to the plate for like 6 bucks and split it with someone. It is a LOT of food, we are big eaters and we always take food home from here. Like another reviewer said, they have a dedicated fryer for their gluten free chicken. They also have some gluten friendly beer. At least they did when I was there last week. The staff has always been out of this world friendly and super helpful. Definitely on our top 2 gf meals to eat at Htown restaurants. This is for the Washington locations, have not been to others YET ;) (mouth actually watering as I type)
Fabulous fried chicken. Need to add some desserts to gluten free options.

Amazing gf fried chicken and beer, as well as a few other yummy choices! Great experience and I appreciate that they noted it was "gluten friendly," and not totally gluten free due to the non gf kitchen. But no tummy issues and that's what's important.

Very accommodating with my gluten, garlic and onion allergies without compromising the taste and quality of the food. Left very satisfied and not sick!

Have been glutened the past 4 times I’ve eaten here. Chef comes out each time and talks about how they made sure it was gluten free & safe, unfortunately I still get sick.
I’ve eaten at MWD’s around the state regularly, and it seems they commonly have new kitchen staff regardless of location. More than once I’ve seen a newbie drop normal chicken in the “gluten free” fryer and the staff had to spend an hour cleaning the machine & reheating oil.
As much as the gesture is appreciated, you can’t truly clean a deep fryer in that short an amount of time. The amount of times I’ve been CC’d here shows.
