I went there because had gf I had a sandwich after I had a few bites my sandwich started coming apart. I was left with soggy bread I then ate the meat and cheese. In the past I've eaten here numerous times but the last 3 times food not up to snuff. I may try 1 more time but I've got to get over my last visit. I want to thank u all for your reviews because of y'all I think I'm able to eat out again.

I have eaten here numerous times and never had any issues with cross contamination. Highly recommended.

I work a few minutes away, and I eat here on a regular basis. A manager told me they get gluten-free bread in 2-slice packs. It's one dollar up charge for 2 pieces of GF bread. (So, it's normally $1 extra, but they have a few sandwiches like their Muffetta that are gargantuan, and they are made on 8 slices of bread, so that's a $4 up charge. I usually get 2-3 meals out of one, so it's a good deal!) Their gluten-free menu lists everything gluten free and what to watch out for. They're happy to make sandwiches with different sauce or without gravy. Once you realize how short the list of possible gluten sources is, it is nice to walk in and have a nearly-full menu to choose from. Unlike many restaurants that have limited menus, most items they sell have no gluten issues other than the bread the sandwiches are served on. Switch bread, and most of the menu is GF. My wife loves their potatoes, both as a side and as a meal, and my son loves their chili. They often have GF soup, and they're always happy to check for you. I have gluten allergies, and my son is Celiac. We often visit McAllister's restaurants while traveling, and we have always had good food, good service, and no cross-contamination issues. And, again unlike many other places, they have cards for freebies, GF or not, after you but a certain number of meals or cups of tea. These are honored at all McAllister's.

I love this place. They have gluten free bread that is also dairy free, so I am able to get a good sandwich still. Their staff is also bet friendly and helpful when it comes to checking the ingredients and letting you know what's safe.

Newer location with indoor and outdoor (both covered & uncovered) seating. Offer GF bread. The BLTA is a good choice. Both nachos are legal as long as you omit chili. Top with grilled chicken or the ham are both good substitutes. Most of the potatoes are legal, except for the one with beefsteak.

I called this restaurant to see if they had gluten-free available. They said they have gluten-free bread, but none of their deli meat is gluten-free. That does not make sense to me!
They are willing to change gloves when handling gf sandwich bread. Always our go to place!
