Review of Meals From the Heart Cafe

Good options but VERY POOR service. Went for brunch today with a friend. Took over 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Ordered at the same time. My friend’s meal took 30 minutes to come out (egg sandwich) and mine took 45 minutes (gf pancake and crab cake). We both had to sit and wait on each other to eat which is not a pleasant way to share a meal. Not to mention the food was just okay. My pancake was so thin and tasteless. I even added blueberries and the syrup and walnut toppings. Not good. The crab cake was okay but not worth the wait or expense (mine meal alone was $20). Don’t go here thinking you can get a fast meal. I know it’s supposed to be scratch made and what not but should not take 45 minutes! They had three people on front of house and one guy in the kitchen, need better staffing and management! That’s an outrageous wait. Really wanted to like this place but I won’t be back. Good news is I’m not sick so there’s that.
