Our pizza was cold, the crust was tough and our gluten free pizzas were forgotten about. Twice. Once the GF pizzas with vegan cheese arrived, they were burnt. The only reason we are giving 2 stars is because our waiter was mortified with the number of errors coming out of the kitchen. Updated to add that the two gluten sensitive members of our family wound up severely ill. Seems like there were serious issues in the kitchen this evening.
They have gluten free pizza with gluten free ingredients on their menu. I also ordered hummus.server said it will be gluten free.
Dined on 21 August 2017 for dinner. Ate a gluten-free cheese pizza -- no issues. Tasted excellent. Server was helpful and understanding.
We ordered two gf pizzas. When the order came up our waitress told us the kitchen suspected cross contamination. She apologized and said they were making new pizzas. The manager offered to comp an appetizer. The pizzas were great and the server was on top of it all.
Thank goodness for places like this!!! They had a dedicated area for preparing and cooking all gluten free pizzas and they even offered dairy free cheese.....yum yum yum!!!!
Everyone was very knowledgeable. They have a good variety and use separate ovens even so no cross-contamination. Fun atmosphere too!
Excellent, fresh pizza. Very Celiac friendly.
It was AWESOME!! Loved the gluten free pizza crust!! The service was impeccable and our waiter was very energetic and attentive and diffidently child friendly!! Will come back next time in bowling green!!❤️
Tasty gluten free pizzas. No cross contamination (I am extremely sensitive, so this is a big deal for me). Good atmosphere. Not a great location downtown. Can be a little tricky to fond the first time.
Knowledgeable staff. Kitchen staff who made our pizza washed and changed apron, gloves before working on our order and delivered it personally. Really good gf pizza.
Excellent food! Although they usually ask, you do want to make sure you tell them if you have any allergies or celiac, that way they do prepare it correctly. The pizza is cooked in a separate oven, and they also prepare it separately (I don’t recall exactly what on, but it’s been safe for me).
Had the gluten free pizza Monday night and it always takes three days for me to feel sick if it’s contaminated. Right on time exactly three days I had a severe reaction and in so much pain. Must have been cross contaminated while baking it. Will not be trusting to eat here again. (I haven’t been out to dinner since and cooked my own meals so no chance I had a cross contamination with any other food in my house)
After reading the reviews I was kind of nervous, but I ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza and let them know I had celiacs and could have no cross contamination. I ended up NOT getting sick or having any symptoms, so I’d assume it’s safe. It’s always a risk though going out somewhere!
The pizza is very good, and they do have a lot of great precautions in place, but we have had to stop going there because my daughter would get ill more often then not. I think it comes down to sensitivity, for a Celiac, a place that handles loose gluten flour is going to be dicey. For us, unfortunately, too dicey.
The pizza was good. Website lists only certain toppings were GF but two different employees assured me that all the toppings were GF. I ordered the buffalo chicken in GF form. I had a mild reaction. Possibly minor cross contamination as I am very sensitive or possible that the caramelized onions or buffalo sauce contained gluten. Pizza was excellent. 4 stars as I am unsure the staff was right about the toppings.
YUM!! Was craving a GF pizza that was safe and this place definitely delivered. There is not a separate GF menu but it's clearly marked which pizza ingredients you can have on the regular menu. They have a separate prep space just for these items. Our server Jason was great and knowledgeable, I felt very safe eating here.
Great place to grab GF pizza and drinks. Pizza small but tastes decent. I was told the GF pizzas are prepared in a separate area, but they go in the same oven on a metal pan (mine was on top rack), if that matters to you. GF beer and cider available.
Server informed me that they have a separate kitchen for GF! I haven’t had pizza in 5 months because of cross contamination in the past— this was THE BEST PIZZA EVER! Great service, wait was shorter than expected, great experience & no celiac attack—yay!
We intentionally waited about 5 months for this location to work out the new restaurant kinks to avoid risk of contamination. No worries - food was delicious and my little celiac daughter didn’t have any ill effects. We all had gluten free cheese pizzas and house salad.
They are very conscious of cross contamination and have a separate area for cooking and preparing pizzas, however, that is the only safe thing you can get there for sure and I think the crust tastes absolutely terrible especially for the price. You are better off buying a frozen pizza and cooking it yourself in your own oven.
Went here to eat after being disappointed at the smokey mountain brewery. The waitress started telling me about how they prepared the gluten free pizza before I even finished explaining my celiac disease, she brought my pizza out with gloves on to be extra sure nothing touched my food. They also have dedicated kitchen space, utensils, and dedicated gluten free bins that only gluten free pizza toppings are used for. This place was absolutely awesome I would highly recommend it! Also ask for Victoria (I believe was her name) she was amazing!
Very impressed with the amount of info on the menu regarding their gluten free offerings. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the kitchen process, but the gf pizza was hand delivered by the manager, which was nice. He explained the full process, and also how everything is kept in a separate cooler and cooked in a separate oven. This was my first gf pizza, and it did not disappoint! No reactions at all after eating here.
Staff is knowledgeable and food is great. They have safe practices and separate prep area for gluten free dishes. I’ve eaten there many times and never had a problem. Alcohol selection leaves a little to be desired as they don’t have a gluten free beers but do have a cider.
They offer gluten free pizza that is pretty good. Lots of options for toppings. As a celiac, I have eaten here a few times now and have not gotten sick. They bake the pizza on a baking pan instead of directly onto the oven surface. They are familiar with celiac and gluten free.
We had previously been to the Mellow Mushroom in Charlottesville, VA and loved it. This location, however, changed dairy-free cheese brands to one that contains soy and we could not have. The pizzas were significantly smaller and burnt. The crust was not very good at all- very cardboard-tasting. Overall it was a very expensive, unsatisfying experience.
Our waiter, Andrew, was wonderful. He assured me our gluten free pizza would be delivered to the table uncontaminated. It was nice to enjoy a meal out with our celiac toddler. A former employee of Mellow that we know had assured me they were careful there. We had a wonderful experience and we felt safe feeding our toddler their food. Thanks for caring, Mellow!
