I had to amend my review after going several times and eating the chips and other food. Also one of the employees finally really checked for me. The carne asada is NOT SAFE even though they barked at me that it was safe for over 1.5 years.

The carne asada has soy sauce in the marinade. Do not order that. It took me about eight visits to get them to tell me that.

Until they are very clear like in a separate menu with nutritional guidance, I cant say what is gf here and what isnt. I changed my review because after experiencing symptoms after eating the chips I have to say the chips are probably in a shared fryer...or at least close enough to the other fryer to get oil from it in the “gf” fryer.

It was great food. But unfortunately until they are more honest with their customers about what is in their food, im opting out.

I used to go to Los Vaqueros. I had symptoms after going there. A year or so after i had been regularly eating crunchy tacos because I was told the menu was safe the waiter I had finally told me they fried the taco shells in a shared fryer. I often feel the same way after eating chips here that i felt at Los Vaqueros.

Also every time I ask about certain foods all they say is it is safe...but im not sure they realize that gluten can be in things like worsteshire saunce etc.

Revisited today...they keep saying 90% of their menu is gluten free. They say the chips are gluten free. When i asked if the chips had cc from other things being fried in the fryer, the guy said the chips are gluten free. But when i asked more detailed questions, the server was evasive and seemed to get a little miffed I was asking more detailed questions. I didnt like that.

Judging from the bloating im having after eating there, id say its probably not safe to eat there. I also loathe how evasive they seem to be when i press my questions. That is usually a sign the restaurant wants you to buy their food...but doesnt want to be transparent...and is hiding behind their cross contamination disclaimer.
