Made a reservation the day before and noted GF so they would hold a GF pasta.
Started with the caprese and it was really good! I had the Fettuccini Carmella with the GF pasta subbed in and it was delicious! Also got a side caesar salad with no croutons and you can tell it was a homemade dressing aka it was also good. My husband enjoyed his veal parmesan but he tasted my pasta and regretted his choice. Overall this place surprised us. We haven’t been overly impressed by other places in Ruidoso but this was worth the visit.

Gluten Free pasta dinner at Michael J’s in Ruidoso, NM. If you come to eat here, call for reservations and be sure to tell them you need a gluten free pasta set aside (just in case). They charge quite a bit for the pasta and add on for meat which wasn’t that much meat. If it’s nice out, reserve patio seating! We could see deer from our window 🦌

They have limited gluten free pasta, but we stopped by the day before to make a reservation and they were able to hold enough gluten free pasta for our table. There weren’t a TON of options but both me and my husband found something we wanted. I had the pasta primavera and he had the fettuccine alfredo. They even had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert! The manger came out to talk to us to ensure that they were taking even precaution possible to avoid cross contamination. Overall a pretty great experience and neither of us got sick!

Just an FYI: no GF pasta. Very limited offerings for GF.

The food here is amazing! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about what was GF on the menu (which was basically everything minus the lasagna and the ravioli). They do sub in GF penne or fusilli on the pasta dishes and can make modifications to serve chicken piccata, Marsala, etc. They even have GF dessert! One word of caution - the space is very popular and you will usually need a reservation.
