Amazing Baked fresh GF pita!
pita bread -plain pita bread -feta cheese
Lebanese pita bread zatar
tabouli , labash, rice pudding!
The hummus is gluten-free, they have a tabouli that’s gluten free, and one that’s not so be careful to order the correct one. There’s no up charge if you get a gluten-free pita sandwich.
Don’t forget to take home a stack of freshlymade pita bread. Also check the freezer for other gluten-free goodies!
I bought gluten free lavash ,baba, ganoush with gluten free pita and some frozen meat pies. All was delightful and no reaction. I have froze the left over lavash and meat pies for later in vacuum seal bags hoping they will preserve well as I live in Gilbert so this is a long way to go but I will be going back. The store is not visually appealing so that may turn some people off but I saw the pitas and had to try, so glad I did as it's the best gluten free bread product I've had in a long time. The baba ganoush is smoky with a slight vinegar taste but delicious. Next time I'll try the hummus too.
The gluten free pita bread is INSANE. Possibly the best gyro sandwich I’ve ever had. Most of the menu can be made gluten free.
After reading positive reviews from people with celiac, and how they take precaution to avoid cross contamination we decided to try the gluten free pita and spinach/ meat pies. We couldn’t believe how delicious It was ! We were so excited until my celiac daughter started throwing up two hours later. I would not recommend this for people with Celiac disease or anyone with a severe sensitivity.
The gluten-free pita bread and flatbread are amazing. The best I've ever had. I wouldn't count on it being made in a strict gluten-free kitchen, so not good for celiacs, but excellent for the gluten sensitive.
DO NOT TRUST!!! My son has celiac, he was excited to try the gluten free pita. He got nervous because the restaurant appeared run down/dirty. Their procedures to prevent cross contamination sounded good though so he tried. Within 20 minutes, my son knew it was gluten and was horribly ill from it. It wasn’t contamination, they were gluten!!
When I tasted the pita, it was so wonderful I was skeptical that this was actually GF. My son has celiac and is very sensitive. He ate multiple pitas in one day and had no reaction. He has also had the cheese filled bakes, also wonderful. We were told the owner's son has celiac and that is why he created GF options. They will tell you it is not a separate kitchen; however, the sanitize everything at the end of the day and cook all GF items first before introducing any gluten containing items to the kitchen for the day.
This is my favorite place in Phoenix to eat! They can make almost everything GF. I’ve never had any issues after eating here. They have GF Pita bread to eat and you can buy GF items to take home. Their bakery is filled with exotic Middle Eastern items to buy and their Middle Eastern Fare is a true delight! The staff is so sweet and accommodating. Must try!!
I’ve tried I’ve tried. Ate here 4 times because I so badly want to to be able to eat here often and each time I became ill. One of the sickest I’ve ever been was after eating the Pita. Maybe wheat pita labeled wrong? I think the kitchen is highly probable for cross contamination. I can’t be more disappointed, but I can’t say this is a safe place for celiacs, at least not me
The GF pita bread here is so soft and spongy I double checked several times to make sure it really was GF. The owner worked over 9 months to perfect the GF pita for a customer with celiac. There are numerous other GF options on the menu and available for purchase. I love the hummus and lamb, was never much of a fan of either, but this place has made me a convert of both!
Oh my goodness I can't even describe how amazing this place is! The gluten free pita bread is phenomenal, the flavorings and spices are all wonderful and the staff is incredible! They also have an entire freezer section of gluten free breads and such. I wish I lived her because I would eat here all. The. Time. If you are in Phoenix and have Celiac, this place is a must visit! Even if you are not Celiac, this place is a must visit!! You will not be disappointed!!
Best gluten free pita bread, so soft and so yummyyyy!!! Can't believe it's gluten free!
Gluten Free pita that has consistency of regular wheat pita AND tastes good! But it's the lavosh that is the greatest miracle. It actually rolls without falling into pieces! I actually cried with joy when I had my first homemade burritolike sandwich in years.
I had the shish and lamb kabob. The staff was very knowledgeable and the food was amazing. We were amazed that the pita bread was gluten free. We spoke with the owner and he was very nice. He showed us that he had a huge selection of frozen gluten free foods ranging from the famous pita bread to meat pies. He stated that 98% of his menu could be made gluten free and that he would be happy to adjust the items as needed. I would very highly recommend the joint.
seriously the best pita bread out there. I have had it twice, and I know other celiac that have eaten here with no problems. I admit I have not been here in a while because when you buy their pitas by the dozen they package them in a bag that has the ingredients of their regular pitas - only they cross it out and write "GF" on it. There is a small language barrier, so I was not comfortable going there a lot. BUT, I heard recently from a friend that they have the correct labels now, and they have a family member with celiac. chances are there has never been anything to worry about. I was been cautious. I think it's time to return!
