I was checking for new places in the neighborhood and saw they only had a 66% safe rating. I'm so sad. We eat here regularly and they always pass the gluten free info on to the fry station. There have been a few occasions when someone started to put on cornbread. Every time they dump the whole tray and start over. I know it can be busy and we've had several times are fries come out unsalted. My son is Celiacs but maybe not the most sensitive so maybe we've just been lucky but we've never been glutened here. If you're on the fence maybe ask for a manager and tell them your concerns. I bet they'll come through.
GF menu at the cash register. Cashier always let's the cooks know my son is Celiac. Dedicated fryer.
Never had an issue.

A week of vacation and this is the first place we got cross contamination. Gloves weren’t changed and I am sick within thirty minutes.

Gluten free menu, dedicated fryer, and staff are generally knowledgeable. Great food, especially the pulled chicken.
I HAVE gotten sick once at Mission BBQ- not this location- because I requested the Texas BBQ sauce. Be aware, this one is NOT gf- and my server didn't know or remember to warn me. Please check the menu for the list of safe sauce options.
Apart from that little incident, I'm happy with their menu and protocols.
Solid "B"
Cool dećor, too.

Okay, I LOVE this chain and what they offer us, but if you choose this branch you need to watch prep like a hawk. No glove change, they put cornbread in with the meal and say “it doesn’t matter because it’s wrapped in tinfoil” (so you changed gloves between touching the bread and wrapping it? sure.) and twice I’ve had to stand there like I did something wrong as annoyed cooks re-prep my meal. It’s the most convenient location for me, but now I don’t want to go back.

Changed gloves, GF menu, great food!
Separate GF menu. A lot of options.
Ordered online and left a note that I had a gluten allergy. I ordered following the GF menu online. It was so good! Love that I can order fries here.

Have never had a problem at this location (Greenbelt, MD) or any other. Good BBQ and several GF sides. Most sauces are GF. Fryer is only used for french fries, they're GF.
They flag your order and change gloves.

I asked for a GF menu and was immediately given one. Food was delicious!!! My only complaint is that the fact that my meal was GF possibly wasn't communicated to the kitchen, and a piece of cornbread was on my plate. It wasn't touching my other food, so I moved it off. All on all, I can highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a fantastic experience at Mission BBQ. They were very careful with our food and it was delicious! We will definitely be back.

Not a great experience at this location. Placed corn bread on my plate, and when they discovered what they did the employee palmed the pulled pork on to another plate after handling buns for sandwiches!!!
