Ordered pulled pork and half rack of ribs. I told them i needed it to be gluten free as I have celiac disease. The cashier called out it was a gluten free order and everyone in the kitchen changed their gloves! No reaction and the food was delicious! All of the sauces are GF. Also a GF menu online. If you have any other allergies there is an allergen menu.
I can’t say enough good things about Joe and the staff here!! They were so helpful and know how to handle cross contamination and the customer service is just outstanding. Although I could only have a couple sides due to the fact that I can’t have garlic either, both amazing! They also told me that I could call ahead and let them know I was coming and that they have a few things they could make me without garlic. We will definitely be back!!
A separate GF menu was available upon request. They had many GF things to choose from, and a variety of GF bbq sauces. They seemed to be very careful with GF orders. I had the brisket, coleslaw, and fries. Although it's a treat to have GF fries, no matter how good, they weren't great, so I'd probably go with a different side next time. But overall the food was good and the rest of my party was happy with their meals. It's fast casual dining in a fun, friendly atmosphere with cool, nostaglic decor.
Online GF menu available with wide variety of flavorful BBQ and good number of GF sides and sauces. The only thing that goes in the fryers are the french fries so they're Celiac safe. The staff changed gloves without us even having to ask, flagged the food as GF at the register, and called out to the cooking staff to identify that a GF order was coming through. Many safety checks in place, educated staff, and great customer service. Food was high quality and great options.
They are very careful with gluten-free orders! Not only do they mark it on the order but verbally say it from the register to meal prep people. A large portion of the menu is safe and the fries are made fresh in-house with no cross-contamination worries since they only use the fryer for the fries. Such sweet and helpful employees. The first time we went they put corn bread on my tray by accident. Before we could say anything they realized their mistake, took it away, and made a whole fresh plate.
I had the pulled chicken, fries and coleslaw. All very good and yes the fries are definitely gluten free. There was some confusion with the sauces as the website says some have Worcestershire sauce and some don’t but staff said all were gluten free… I played it safe and got the Smokey mountain sauce because I saw a review from a symptomatic celiac say they had that sauce. No reaction. I will say I didn’t have to worry abt cross contamination because we were first ones there for the day coincidentally.
