I love this place! I have celiac and I don’t eat eat dairy or grain and the staff has always been helpful and there’s plenty of safe choices. They have a dedicated fryer! I usually get the pulled pork or baby back ribs with fries, the baked beans, and/or coleslaw. You have to let the staff know that the order has to be gluten free. I haven’t had any issues.

Took the family here for dinner earlier tonight and it was incredibly good!! The staff took my son’s gluten allergy very seriously and were super accommodating. I highly recommend.

If you have Celiac disease, as my girlfriend does, this is a great place to eat. The staff are all very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. I was given a free meal after being told that my girlfriends meal had accidentally come into contact with a contaminated surface and that they were making her a new meal. Plus the best part is the food is delicious!!👍👍

My husband and I used to frequent this location and felt the food was pretty safe, but over the last few months, every order has had mistakes. I went last week, and ordered salmon for my husband, who is a very sensitive celiac. Luckily I was watching closely, and I saw a staff member put a piece of corn bread (which is not gluten free) into the container and touching the salmon. I then saw the manager tell the staff member the order was supposed to be gluten free, and he took the piece of corn bread out and they tried to hand me the order, but obviously, the food was contaminated, which they should be trained to know better. I asked the staff member for a new piece of salmon because it was no longer safe for my husband to eat, and when the staff member handed it back to the manager and explained what happened, the manager was clearly annoyed, and threw the container with the salmon across the preparation counter. She never came over to apologize, she actually never even turned around to acknowledge me. We have no plans to return, and anyone who takes the chance on eating here should watch the staff closely since they are obviously not being trained in proper precautions.

Mission BBQ has the best GF fries around. Their pulled pork is great, as is the BBQ sauce selection.

Delicious food! Amazing service! And best of all no reaction to glutening! I'm celiac and didnt react!

Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free. I mentioned I couldn’t have the cornbread any where near my food and they said they would change gloves when preparing my salmon. I originally ordered smashed potatoes and the staff said they were cooked in same pot and water as pasta and offered me gluten free options. They even told me which BBQ sauces were not gluten free.

Delicious! Lots of choices... the staff was very helpful. We have used for catered events.

The manager was very knowledgeable about Celiac. Confirmed that they change gloves and utensils when preparing gluten free food. They only use their sole fryer for fries so they are gluten free. Their gluten free menu provides a good amount of options as well as explanations when needed. Sadly their corn bread is not gluten free.

Delicious food and definitely safe for celiacs. Kitchen staff changed gloves, knife, measuring cup and cutting board to prepare my meal :-) As a sensitive celiac, I highly recommend this restaurant. Wish there were more Mission BBQ locations in NJ.

The GF menu is easy to ready online. And there’s so many options of delicious foods to eat. I don’t feel like I’m comprising here. If you’re very sensitive I’d be cautious of the sauces on the table and ask for some from the back. Some are not safe although many are. I think this is the only area I see CC risk (from guests).
Food was very good, but the only side options were French fries; i guess i was expecting more from the great reviews

very gf friendly. staff changes gloves to avoid cross contamination. lots of choices of food and sides.

Went there today and had pretty much everything on the menu that was GF which was quite a bit. Since there was 5 of us and you order sampler platters it made it great to find what's good on the menu. Well, nothing was bad. Not even the brewed tea, which was some of the best I tasted. My faves were both the Beef and Baby Back Ribs, the pulled pork and jalepeno sausage (which I usually don't do hot foods... but these weren't that hot, green beans and bacon and oooh the beans and brisket! The French fries were perfect and they have 5 GF sauces to try. Other things that we tried were the pulled chicken, salmon, cold slaw. I thought I'd love the brisket, but it was tender and ok if you put sauce on it. The hostess was so nice and was very quick to pull out the GF menu. Def plan on going back.

Awesome place. They have a gluten free menu to clarify what's actually gluten free! The staff was wonderful in accomidating my dietary needs. They changed their gloves, used a dedicated fryer, and separate prep area. The atmosphere was great. I appreciate that all the staff was helpful throughout my experience
Great atmosphere and the food is delicious! They took good care of me and my needs. I am a sensitive celiac.
Almost the entire menu is gluten free naturally but they have a separate menu regardless for clarity. Most BBQ places tend to be gluten friendly but the food was also REALLY good, especially the brisket. Staff was friendly and the décor was thoughtfully created in honor and support of first responders and military.

*Sensitive celiac: I was traveling in this place was a godsend. Everything they did made me feel comfortable. They change their gloves, they use a separate cutting board, they have several items on their menu that are gluten-free, and all their barbecue sauces are also gluten-free. Best part is---they have a dedicated fryer for their french fries! I ate there twice with no issues.

Knowledgeable about cross contact. Good communication about gf protocol. I got the pulled pork and brisket with no issues and I am very sensitive. Gf menu. Used the Memphis Belle sauce

Lots of gluten free options and dedicated fryer! Manager Arianna at this location is super nice and helpful about cross contact :) We've gone in when she's not there the other managers have been knowledgeable as well.

I was very pleased with my experience here. I appreciate the fact that they actually have a gluten-free menu. I ordered the brisket, jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage, and green beans. It was some of the best bbq I've had in a while. Everything was delicious. The staff was conscientious about safety and cross contamination. I am not sure about any dedicated gf work spaces in the kitchen, but they were good about changing gloves and cleaning work space. Just make sure to tell them you're celiac or hsve an allergy. I will definitely return.

Got brisket and pulled chicken and fries. Food was great. The server loudly and clearly communicated to the kitchen that it needed to be gf. Did not get sick. Overall, they seemed to care and be diligent about their jobs. Would recommend.
