Not celiac but Dr advised me to go GF. I was told the sauces were re-formulated and the only GF ones are Smokey Mountains (my fav), Memphis Belle, KC classic, and Tupelo Honey Heat. The meat is flavorful, even without the sauces. The fries were a little burned. The wings didn't look breaded. They are fried.
The owner went above and beyond for our first time here. He explained the dedicated frier for the fries and all the things we could have gluten free. He walked back and told the staff personally about the allergy. He even brought us complimentary sides of the ones we didn’t order he was so enthusiastic about making sure we enjoyed our gluten free meal. The food is absolutely delicious and somehow not overly greasy. Definitely going here again!
I would give TEN stars if I could! Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! Been at least 4 times in the last 45 days. Lovely lady named Jennifer is very knowledgable about cross contamination and goes to great lengths to keep our gf food away from other food with gluten. On top of that, the food in delicious and the they have GF fries! There hasn't been a time where we haven't loved our food here! Haven't been to another BBQ place since we've been here. Thank you Mission BBQ!!
I visit this location often, as the food is delicious and they have a dedicated fryer! They have a gluten free menu and most of the staff is knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten free foods. I haven’t experienced any cross contamination, however I have caught them before leaving with my food. When the worker shows you your food before you leave, don’t be afraid to speak up. I always watch closely and the last time, I had to ask for a new meal because the worker was packaging pound cake and then grabbed my fries. They were very understanding and apologetic about this cross contamination situation. I’m just glad I caught it myself. I always get the pulled pork platter and fries… their green beans are great too! Make sure to ask which sauces are gf before you go!
Would be perfect but depends on who takes your order. Most of them care to protect you but someone I just had last night looked miserable and didn't even say gluten free to the staff and then charged me more than I ordered. Didn't warn be about texas bbq having gluten (although I already knew) just make sure you ask them or else you can be glutened.
