I’m not sure why the other reviews have been so negative. I had a great experience here - one of my waiters was the co-owner and I felt very comfortable. They use tamari for all “GF” marked dishes, whether you have a gluten allergy or not. As previously noted, the GF soy does come out in a marked bottle. But I brought my own just incase :) They also have coconut aminos if you prefer that which is rare for a sushi restaurant to offer!

I asked whether the vinegar they seasoned their sushi rice with was made from gluten grains, and they claimed it wasn't, but for whatever reason I wasn't entirely convinced by the response.
I wasn't in the mood to take much risk, so ordered sashimi and a bowl of plain unseasoned rice, both of which have minimal preparation and so should minimize cross-contact risk. They also brought tamari in sealed packets, which was nice and obviously better than a bottle as reported by other reviewers. I did not have a reaction, so I would feel safe enough to order something similar again.
As someone who eats sushi almost every day, the food quality was mid. I would be willing to return, and would offer this as an option if I was with a group that wanted to take me out somewhere. And I would stick to only sashimi and plain unseasoned rice.

Excellent quality fresh fish and friendly service. At sushi places I tend to avoid specialty rolls in case there is a soy-sauce-based sauce or something tempura-fried hiding in there. Stick with the nigiri and sashimi and you should be alright. As another reviewer noted, they do bring out the GF soy sauce in a regular soy sauce bottle with “GF” written in sharpie on the lid. I was a little suspicious but I’ve never gotten sick from eating here.

My non-celiac friends had a great time but it was a nightmare for me. Their menu is marked incorrectly (says GF next to items made with soy sauce). I proceeded to ask questions and check for understanding and they didn’t understand. They then said they had GF soy sauce and proceeded to bring me out a regular bottle marked with a “GF” I’m sharpie on the top. This confirmed that they didn’t understand. It is not gluten free soy sauce it is Shoda brand, normal soy sauce. Just be super careful and ask questions if you have to come here and bring your own soy sauce. Overall I’d say stay away since there’s a lack of understanding. Still waiting to see if my cucumber avocado roll makes me sick but I’m not hopeful.
