I asked whether the vinegar they seasoned their sushi rice with was made from gluten grains, and they claimed it wasn't, but for whatever reason I wasn't entirely convinced by the response.
I wasn't in the mood to take much risk, so ordered sashimi and a bowl of plain unseasoned rice, both of which have minimal preparation and so should minimize cross-contact risk. They also brought tamari in sealed packets, which was nice and obviously better than a bottle as reported by other reviewers. I did not have a reaction, so I would feel safe enough to order something similar again.
As someone who eats sushi almost every day, the food quality was mid. I would be willing to return, and would offer this as an option if I was with a group that wanted to take me out somewhere. And I would stick to only sashimi and plain unseasoned rice.
