Went for brunch with family today. Asked for gluten free bread, and for verification that the artichoke and spinach eggs benedict was GF. Ordered the bendict and after eating several bites, realized that it might not, in fact, be gluten free. Sure enough, it was not. I believe this particular incident was specific to the waiter. In the past, our GF orders have been handled with care. We will not be returning. Too risky.
They were very knowledgeable and had gf bread sent to the table. Great service!!! We sat at the bar area with tables.
My favorite restaurant in Bethesda. Celiacs are well treated from the delicious gf bread and olives to a small but excellent gluten free menu. The French onion soup is so good. I am a sensitive Celiac and have never gotten sick. Highly recommend.
Great gluten free menu, and knowledgable staff!
Went for brunch. Waiter was not terribly well versed in brunch menu options - wish I had come for lunch or dinner as the gluten free options were more robust. My three eggs and bacon came out with four pieces of regular toast, even though the waiter had already brought me gluten free toast. Lack of attention to detail made me a little nervous but overall food was good!
Fantastic gluten-free menu options. Staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Very good communication with kitchen staff made for a delicious celiac-friendly meal. Can't wait to return!
BEST place in Bethesda!
The staff were very friendly and took great care of me. Waffles were so good and filling!! Bacon too! Coffee was awesome and view. Lots of options I had breakfast and will likely go back. Loved it. I was so overwhelmed by Vegas, this place was great!
We had a wonderful experience. Gluten free food is served with a wooden “allergy” flag. Our server said they have special paperwork to manage “allergy” meals throughout the kitchen process. They served GF bread. We felt very well taken care of there and would definitely return.
The reviews are all true. GF eggs Benedict was delicious, and unlike any I had ever had before. Server was very knowledgeable and friendly... especially for 7 am. I would go back and try it for dinner as well. Prices are par for the course for Vegas.
Excellent food, knowledgeable staff, very accommodating. expensive but worth the experience. We had breakfast and a late night meal there.
I love this place! GF toast as well as GF Benedict. Lots of non bread based options like fruits and yogurts and eggs.
Server clearly asked about nature of gluten allergy, they had gluten free toast that they grilled for breakfast, overall very tasty
I had a wonderful experience here! My husband and I ate here once for breakfast, (it was delicious!) and once for dinner. Both times I felt very safe. They put a little flag on each meal indicating allergy, which for me gives me the assurance that they recognize I can get sick. For breakfast, anything can be made gluten free on the menu except crepes. I actually felt like a normal human being! They toast the bread in a separate toaster which was a relief. It's all the little things that can give you anxiety eating out as a celiac, they completely covered! I had the french onion soup for dinner, ( I had a cold and wasn't feeling very well so I didn't have a lot to eat that night.) and it was the best french onion soup I've ever had! I highly recommend eating here and I will definitely come back when we're in town!
Great GF menu. Food and ambiance are fabulous
I have only been here for dinner but I have been here many times for dinner.... it is a favorite in Vegas and certainly celiac friendly. The server and chef were very knowledgeable and accommodated me even with the cheese plate, knowing to remove the bleu cheese due to the rye. Really grateful to rely on Mon Ami Gabi for a nice and safe dinner. Can't wait to check out breakfast one of these days!
Ate here today after reading reviews on the 'find me gluten free app. As a celiac it was awesome to have a restaurant with a gluten free menu. I ordered the crispy duck and it came with gluten free bread and olives! Everything had an allergy marker in it and our waiter was super nice. It was so nice to have a 'real' meal.
Had lunch twice and breakfast once, bread, fries, sandwiches that hold together! And allergy toothpicks mark gf items.
We had fabulous omelette with delicious toast and French toast for our breakfasts and were so impressed with the options and labeling that we returned for dinner that night and the next day for breakfast again-had French toast again-light and airy bread with tasty sweet butter and a blueberry sauce. The Scallops and squash entree and their frites are fabulous. Friends have also had great gluten free experiences at other locations. I highly recommend!
Safe meal. Ate lunch here last week after going GF 5 weeks ago. They brought out GF bread and butter (clearly marked allergy) on it, which was wonderful. I ordered the steak in red wine with fries, and it was tasty. Added bonus was that from patio (or just inside from it) you have a great view of the Bellagio fountain and it began just as our order came out. I highly recommend!
I had the roast chicken grand mere off the gluten free menu. It was amazing!! I’m celiac and my server took good care of me!
We ate here for dinner our first night and was so impressed with the service, quality of food and knowledge of gf that we came back for breakfast our last day. Lamb shank for dinner was delicious and they have gf bread was fresh. For breakfast I had egg Benedict and we shared an order of caramelized apple waffles. The waffles were the fluffy, airy and had the best flavor I've tasted. Would highly recommend visiting here.
I ate there a few weeks ago. Had scallops. Everything was wonderful.
This restaurant is amazing! It has a beautiful view in which you can see the los Vegas strip. Our waiter was very nice and helpful to my allergy needs. Perfect place for families such as mine, where some of us have allergies and so of us don’t. So many gluten free choices! He said, that he can make anything gluten free except the crepes and the quiche. It’s not a dedicated facility so there is chance of cross contamination if that affects you. The food was absolutely delicious! I personally am not a huge fan of sausage, but I tried some anyway, and it was to die for! Everyone one at my table (of six) was pleased with what they got. I overall really loved the general atmosphere of this restaurant and would 100% recommend this to anyone who’s gluten free.
The best gf French-type bread ever! French onion soup was delicious too and they have a dedicated fryer.
Ill be dreaming of the Blueberry French Toast till we return.
We both have CD and I’m very sensitive. Loved the breakfast menu - omelette, bacon, GF toast but best of all - Blueberry Waffles. Devine! We ate here 3 days in a row. Understanding staff.
I highly recommend this restaurant! The GF onion soup is delicious, they even bring you gluten free bread on the side for no cost! The staff is very friendly and takes allergies seriously. I will come back here again!
Waitstaff seemed like they understood celiac but my burger came out on a regular bun and no allergy indicating toothpick that my daughters came with. I have had celiac for several years and I know what a gluten free roll looks like. This place is not safe for celiacs, they are two busy to care.
12/26/2017: Wow... I have celiac disease and am dairy free due to lactose intolerant. They took the restrictions seriously and wrote it all down on a pink slip for the manager to sign off on! I went for breakfast and had eggs, bacon, and hash browns. However, I also had GF toast but I took two bites and realized it had butter (it tasted like it). With that being said, I would go again. Update: 12/28/2017. I ended up going again! This time I asked for GF waffles with caramelized apples. I specifically asked if they do a separate iron cast for GF waffles and they said yes. I really enjoyed my meal. So good!!!
Breakfast: almost everything can be made gf including waffles and French toast. Not the pancakes or crapes, however. Excellent quality and taste
Managers (Joe!) very knowledgeable on providing celiac-safe food and take the task very seriously. Just 2 choices for breakfast; eggs benedict on polenta-like English muffin tastes ok. GF waffles but NOT made on dedicated waffle iron. Was told hashbrowns are gf. Lunch and dinner choices more expansive. More importantly never been sick! Located in Paris Hotel.
Food is amazing! Make sure you ask for the gluten free menu, but they can make almost anything gluten free (and celiac safe!). I'm super SUPER sensitive and have never had a problem here. Entire staff is so well trained in dealing with celiac, they never bat an eyelid when I tell them and when I thank them for their efforts they ALWAYS say "we take it VERY seriously"...love that! My recommendation is the French onion soup to start, followed by the seafood platter and then the filet mignon with the sauce on the side. It's DIVINE and you'll waddle out of there wishing you would have worn sweatpants.
Excellent service and gf menu. Actually our server said most anything could be made gf. Delicious!!
Excessively overpriced for food that made me extremely sick. I was shown an area in the middle of the menu that could be made gf. When I asked the 2nd time I was told oh we have waffles too. I ordered a ham & cheese omelet, you get gf toast & tomatoes with it. I wasn't out of the restaurant 20 minutes when the cramping started. I was so disappointed. I was checking out the restaurant for my wedding dinner & had such high hopes 😔
Great food. Very knowledgeable staff
Very knowledgeable staff, and the gluten free breakfasts are wonderful. Try the gluten free chocolate hazelnut waffles - you won’t regret it!
We eat here every single time we go to Las Vegas (twice a year) and while we're there we sometimes eat here twice. The Steak Frites...DO IT!!! This place takes celiac seriously. FYI: Their bloody Marys are GF. I always ask to make sure anyway. Everything I've had here is wonderful.
Separate GF menu. GF bread looks like Udi's, comes out toasted. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Food comes marked that you have an allergy. Unfortunately I did get sick afterwards.
Many options for breakfast and the server let us know that there were just as many options for lunch and dinner. I had an omelette with gf toast but the gf waffles were so tempting!
Ask for the gluten free waffles!
I absolutely love this place. Originally enjoyed the Las Vegas location, and was thrilled to find out they were in Chicago when recently visiting. Fantastic food and ambiance - love the eggs benedict (on gf bread - udi's?), crispy hashbrowns. And bloody mary has no fewer than 6 garnishes - amazing. Expand to the east coast, please!
Went 2 different times (breakfast and lunch) on our recent trip to Las Vegas. Both meals have several GF items to choose from. The waffles are to die for! Had hamburger w GF bun and GF toast. Did not have any reactions. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable
as a g.f. AND Non-meat eater there wasnt much here for me for dinner. i had a salad, g.f. toast ( good but why not bread) and a whole artichoke. Breakfast was way better, g.f. waffles NOT ON MENU, were delish!!went back twice, haf nutella waffle then banana fosters waffle (last was a bit too sweet, will ask for caramel sauce on side next time!)
don't go alone it they will ignore you. 9 mins before I ever saw a waitress in my area for dinner and they weren't that busy. The GF nevi they have me said to ask for the lunch menu for sandwiches, which I did. she acted offended that I'd do so and finally sent someone"downstairs" to retrieve one. after informing get off my food allergies in addition to gluten I ordered the Cubano. this was the hottest one I've ever had as they put hot peppers in it. never in Miami it so Florida have I tasted such a sandwich ! The appetizer, which is just Udi's bread toasted plus several olives and butter that is to hard to spread, came with an allergy sticker inserted. The sandwich didn't so I questioned that and they assured me it was GF. The best part of the meal was dessert of mango and passion fruit sorbet, which came with a rolled cookie. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised, I asked if it was GF. And of course it wasn't -- even though I'd been specific with the waitress up until then about my needs. The desert was whisked back to the kitchen, and shortly reappeared. The waitress reassured me it was all fresh. As I turned it around to look at it I could see where the cookie had been inserted. So in spite of the other reviews I caution you to be very careful when you go to this restaurant. I assume if you go in a group of two or more you'll have a better experience. This was $28 worth of disappointment
I have Celiac dz. Ate there once for dinner and once for breakfast. Dinner was French onion soup and trout amandine. Both were excellent and there were many other gf options available. Also I had the warm gf bread they offered as the server said it was heated on a separate surface under a broiler. In the food was a small wood toothpick sign stating "Allergy". Service was outstanding. The next day for breakfast it was much busier and service was good, not great. There is only one listed gf option on the breakfast menu: eggs benedict, served with avocado and hollandaise vert sauce. However they do have GF waffles, just not advertised. They use the same waffle iron but clean it before using. I had the eggs benedict and it was also excellent, although no "Allergy" sign this time. I did not get sick.
Went here for dinner. They have a gluten free menu and offer gluten free toast at the start of the meal. Knowledgeable staff. Had the steak frites and was delicious.
Somewhat disappointing. The patio was very nice to sit on, and our server was very good, but the food left a bit to be desired, especially for the price. I got the steak, and while the sauce on the steak was good, the fries were weird, and it was an odd cut of steak that was very thin and flat. I could have eaten a second plate if it weren't so expensive. Very GF friendly though.
Best breakfast I've had. I have celiac disease and felt great after the meal. The French toast was amazing, I got it with cinnamon and the cream cheese sauce. AH-MAZINNN
It's weird that their GF waffles and Eggs Benedict aren't on their GF or regular menu, thank goodness for this app.! Their waffles are tasteless, but have a great texture, I much prefer the GF waffles at Mozen Bistro in The Mandarin, but I like the atmosphere at Mon Ami. I'll be trying their Eggs Benedict tomorrow!
Outstanding gluten free breakfast & lunch menu! Went here 3 times while in Vegas for the week. Had the gf waffles twice with the most delicious vanilla whipped cream! The date coated bacon was amazing! Then had the gf warm chicken & Brie sandwich on the best gf roll ever. Add the French fries to that (which I have not had in sooooo long). It's a good thing we walked so much in Vegas so I didn't feel bad about all the carbs 😊
In every which way, INCREDIBLE. Breakfast gf waffles, gf sandwiches, mimosas and coffee were amazing. The service quick and conversational. Overall a must have if in Las Vegas.
Gf labeled and safe. Gf bread and French onion soup. Tasty!
