They definitely have great allergy practices in place that make it celiac friendly. They prepare the food in a different area and even have it marked allergy upon being brought to your table. I was less than impressed with the GF waffles though! Hard and dry. I ordered them blueberry but somehow they came out plain. A frozen waffle is much better so I would stick to pancakes or French toast as it likely won’t be so dry and tough.
This place is amazing! They have waffles, French toast, and lots of other options. We ate breakfast here and it was so good. The waitress was very knowledgeable and everything came out marked “allergy”. The rest of the staff was friendly. Highly recommend eating here.
I went here for lunch and again for breakfast! Amazing! I had the French onion soup for lunch and they brought me gluten free bread with whipped butter while I waited. Very good. We came back for breakfast on our last day and had the waffles. My husband did not like his gluteny waffles. He said they were mediocre. My gluten free waffles were AMAZING!! They brought me or both the bananas fosters AND the blue berry toppings to try both bit the bananas fosters was incredible. Best thing I ate on my trip. So your self a favor go here for breakfast AND MAKE a RESERVATION!!! 😂
Not only do they have a gluten free menu, they also brought gluten free bread and butter when we sat to the table. My girl, who has Celiac, really loves onion soup, but can hardly ever eat it (the onion is brushed with flour in the classic recipe). On the rare occasions that we can actually find gluten free onion soup, it comes without the croutons. Mon Ami Gabi prepare an amazing gluten free onion soup and with gluten free croutons! And apart from having extensive gluten free options (we had brunch and returned a day later for dinner), all the other items we had were also great. Highly recommended!
No issues! Was assured by my server that everything would be great & safe.. which always makes me nervous. We came for breakfast & while mine was pretty basic I was thrilled to be eating out. I had eggs, bacon & hashbrowns with gluten free toast. Toaster is separate as assured by my server. Ambiance was nice, my non-gluten free spouse enjoyed a delicious & beautiful breakfast & I left with a happy belly.
We went here because of the reviews. The waitress assured me there was no cross-contamination and even pink-slipped me for allergy. I ended up very sick the next day, clearly a gluten reaction. It could have been the sauce they use or cross-contamination. Food was good, but if you are a celiac, be very cautious.
UPDATE (7/19): Ate here again. Twice. Can't say enough great things! This places gets it. GO! We eat here every single time we go to Las Vegas (twice a year) and while we're there we sometimes eat here twice. The Steak Frites...DO IT!!! This place takes celiac seriously. FYI: Their bloody Marys are GF. I always ask to make sure anyway. Everything I've had here is wonderful.
Excellent place to get a great GF meal! They have bread and butter for before dinner. I got the French onion soup! Omg to die for! And then the steak and fries were amazing! And if you sit outside you can’t beat the views of the Bellagio fountain!
What an amazing restaurant. The moment when I asked if they were celiac friendly their answer gave me all the confidence to eat here. Super professional and friendly staff and were extremely particular and careful when it came to my celiac disease. Ensuring I would have a terrific and safe experience. Not to mention the food was utterly delicious.
They use separate allergy picks and have a small GF menu. Not a lot of GF brunch options, but they let you order off the lunch menu too. I got shrimp cocktail and artichoke which were both excellent (and they give you a card telling you how to eat an artichoke which is funny/cute!).
Had to remind my waiter about proper handling of my food and plates multiple times and even had to get a new plate made when it was brought out incorrectly the first time. I did not get sick though. I had a goat cheese and spinach omelet with a cup of fruit and gf toast. It was delicious.
Wonderful service and delicious food. Knowledgeable staff re: food allergies. Many entrees contain no gluten ingredients. We had a party of both celiacs and non-celiacs. Celiacs had GF onion soup, artichoke appetizer, skate wing and trout almondine. If you don’t want them to bring out gluten containing bread, tell them (it’s served in a bag, but must be cut or torn apart at the table).
Ordered gluten free eggs benedict, emphasized the importance of avoiding cross contamination, got dealthly ill within 20 minutes of eating. Food came out with an allergen pick in it so it seemed like they paid attention, but something went very wrong! Avoid at all costs.
So good. The waitress was great, knowledgeable, and helpful. Best breakfast I had during my week in Vegas. They have excellent gf waffles. And can make the eggs Benedict on gf toast. Waitress offered half portions do I could try both. I did. No regrets. Returned the next day and did half orders of each of the 4 waffles. Turns out that you get more waffles that way than if I'd ordered two full orders. I ate half and took the rest for my plane ride home.
I am Celiac and ate here twice while I was in Vagas! I stayed healthy!! Great atmosphere, great food! They actually label the plates with an allergy pick. Both times I was very impressed with the meals and that they serve delicious gluten free bread!! This is a must if in Vagas! Two years after my last post, I ate here twice again! The gluten free waffles were amazing!! The Sea Bass was amazing!!! They bring you GF toast before your meal (while everyone else gets bread) and it is delicious!! Great choices and very knowledgeable staff. Don’t miss out on this one!!
This place used to be good, but this experience was really bad. They changed their menu and the server shrugged off that we have celiac. Then my wife mentioned her allergy to gluten and yeast and to leave the bread off of her plate. Once our food came out her order was incorrect, so they had to go and make her actual meal and once it came out it had gluten bread on it, so they fixed it for the third time and once again put bread on-top of her meal. After this nothing was said and we left very unhappy and let down. This restaurant used to take great care of us but after this I doubt we will return.
I’ve heard so many positive things about breakfast here. I previously enjoyed dinner here without any reactions. For breakfast, I ordered the gf waffles with blueberry syrup. It was incredibly delicious and had an allergy marker delivered with the food so that was reassuring. This is my favorite place to visit when I’m in Las Vegas.
While the food was very good, I woke up the next morning with the classic symptoms of getting glutened (I'm sure you know - I won't go into detail). I had a little of the French onion soup, the chicken liver pate with gluten-free bread and the chicken entree (with mushrooms and bacon). The service was great and the food good, but it's Monday and I'm still dealing with the effects of being exposed to gluten.
Our group of 6 includes 5 that have varying degrees of gluten allergy, mild to severe. 5 of us ordered from the gf menu and specifically requested gf meals. Our server repeated the orders and confirmed five gf meals. My son, the most severe allergy, ordered French onion soup and steak. As soon as the meal was finished he was sick and continues to be sick this evening. We won’t return to this restaurant.
I have always had good luck at this location. However, I had dinner last night and wasn’t so lucky. I promptly informed the waiter that I had Celiac; he gave me a GF menu and told me he would relay my dietary restriction to the kitchen. I ordered the Steak Classique, which came topped with a garlic-butter sauce and fries. I got about 1/2 way through the steak and fries and started to feel bloated and nauseous. It’s now been 24 hours and I’m very sick. Not sure what item(s) inadvertently contained gluten. Waiter relayed that they have a separate prep space and dedicated fryer. The food tasted good but certainly not worth being this ill.
We needed up eating here as it has good reviews. Non-celiacs will get a large baguette as an appetizer. However, if you say you have celiac disease they will bring out gluten free bread. I can’t say if it was good or not as I didn’t have any. For dinner I had the duck confit. It was wonderful. I ate almost all of it until I got full. For desert I had the sorbet. When it came out it had a cookie on it, we alerted the server of this and he brought out a new dish of it. It was very delicious. This restaurant is more of an expensive one but it is very tasty.
Delicious gluten-free bread and many gluten-free options for main course and dessert that are prepared safely. As in any restaurant, you should double check with the waiter and make sure he/she tells the kitchen.
Amazing gf options and gf menu. French onion soup, which I had never had before because I never found it gf, was AMAZING. I can’t believe I lived without it for so long. This place is pricey but worth it.
Went for brunch with family today. Asked for gluten free bread, and for verification that the artichoke and spinach eggs benedict was GF. Ordered the bendict and after eating several bites, realized that it might not, in fact, be gluten free. Sure enough, it was not. I believe this particular incident was specific to the waiter. In the past, our GF orders have been handled with care. We will not be returning. Too risky.
I absolutely love this place. Originally enjoyed the Las Vegas location, and was thrilled to find out they were in Chicago when recently visiting. Fantastic food and ambiance - love the eggs benedict (on gf bread - udi's?), crispy hashbrowns. And bloody mary has no fewer than 6 garnishes - amazing. Expand to the east coast, please!
I had onion soup with baked cheese and GF croutons over entire bowl, GF bread with premium jams and whipped butter (a true French experience) and a Bloody Mary (ask for Tito's because it's the only GF Vodka), and a delicious olive assortment. FYI my whole meal was only $20. Damn that's awesome right?!
Very nice Gluten-Free menu includes appetizers, entrees, and desert. Gluten-Free bread, butter, and olive assortment is served complimentary. The GF onion soup baked with gruyere cheese and Gluten-Free croutons is spectacular. It is a large portion that can easily be an entire meal with the bread and olives. The steak bearnaise with pan fries is a Gluten-Free dream entree. This is a Lettuce Entertain Restaurant; they are serious about providing a safe Gluten-Free dining experience. Gluten-Free dining doesn't get any better than this.
My favorite restaurant in Bethesda. Celiacs are well treated from the delicious gf bread and olives to a small but excellent gluten free menu. The French onion soup is so good. I am a sensitive Celiac and have never gotten sick. Highly recommend.
I have eaten here twice now including New Year's eve and both times were excellent. The GF menu has enough choices to give some variety and the food is excellent. We had the same server both times and he was also very helpful, friendly and fast.
Went for brunch. Waiter was not terribly well versed in brunch menu options - wish I had come for lunch or dinner as the gluten free options were more robust. My three eggs and bacon came out with four pieces of regular toast, even though the waiter had already brought me gluten free toast. Lack of attention to detail made me a little nervous but overall food was good!
Sat in the lounge/bar and service was slow even though the bar wasn't busy. Waiter said he put in an order for "gluten bread" which clearly demonstrated his lack of knowledge. Ended up being 2 pieces of gf toast, probably Udi's. Hade the Bibb lettuce salad and gf French onion soup. Both were tasty but a bit over priced. First glass of wine was covered w something sticky so, back it went. Overall experience, not great but meal was gluten free.
This place is my absolute go to restaurant. The whole staff is very knowledgeable and very aware of the gluten free options. I always feel 100% safe eating here. The gluten free French onion soup and gluten free salmon are to die for!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a fun environment and safe food to eat!
pros: waiter was super accomodating and willing to check on ingredients for everything and modify dishes to exclude gluten, dairy and sugar cane. cons: my food turned out a bit bland to accomodate me. the service was excellent though. they have a gf menu so if that's your only allergy it'd probably be great for you.
