Review of Monica's

Monica's is voted the best Italian restaurant in Iowa City for a reason. Food is absolutely delicious! For those with Celiac Disease, they recommend ordering pasta dishes since it is cooked in its own pot of water. I love the pasta bolognese with red wine sauce. The pizza has a slight risk of cross-contamination so the pasta is the safest. I was also served gluten free bread at no additional charge. Great service and patio for lunch or dinner - I always stop when I’m traveling along I-80.
