I like to DoorDash this whenever I need a quick safe gluten-free option while at work or an event. They have great customer service (you can text them and they will respond to answer all your questions/concerns).
This place is a ghost kitchen and take out/delivery only.
The food taste is okay but because it’s gluten free and safe I can’t complain.
According to website, this is 100% gluten free. It is pick up or food delivery only (we order delivery directly on the Moonbowls site vs DoorDash). It is located in the same industrial kitchen as Ben’s Fast Food and others. The food is really good- I had the chicken and egg bowl, and the egg was perfect. Cauliflower and ranch was excellent. A lot of variety on the menu, which is so nice for a celiac. Our friends who are not gluten free also really like it, so good place to order from for a mixed crowd. Highly recommend
The entire menu is gluten free, with options like Korean fried chicken and potstickers.
I am reviewing the process and pick up since I wish I knew about it. This is an Industrial kitchen where Ubereats and other delivery services pick up for about 20 different restaurants. When you arrive and have ordered online go inside and check in on the iPads. Then wait to receive a text it will give a locker number go to the corresponding locker to pick up your food. This process took longer than I expected but maybe with these tips it will go more smoothly for you.
This was our first time trying moon bowls and we both got the fried chicken bowl. Our delivery (the company uses ubereats) kept getting delayed so it ended up being 30mins later than expected so the food was cold. Not sure if this was an issue with ubereats or the company but given that they identify as a ‘delivery first’ company this should be better. Despite this, the food itself was delicious (my ‘can eat everything’ partner agreed) and it felt like such a treat to get food delivered! Most importantly I didn’t get sick. I also have a dairy allergy so fried chicken is often a no go, even without gluten due to the buttermilk however everything but their Nutella chia seed pudding is also dairy free 🙌. I also noticed that while they don’t list whether it’s vegan or not on the bowls, if you go to the section where they list the individual components where you can add extra of a certain item they do tell you there. FYI: On their website they say that their food is 100% gluten free and while some of their kitchens are dedicated gluten free some are not due to being in facilities where gluten is used. Definitely going to try again and hope that they can get their delivery issues sorted!
