Fantastic! Sat at the bar and waitress (Ruth)was very knowledgeable about allergies. Had pizza with GF crust and dairy free cheese and Key Lime pie! Husband had a berry tart- wonderful! We are in Keys for a week so we will come back.

This was such a great find! The food was delicious, and they had so many gluten free options! They also had a whole case of gluten free baked goods, including a key lime pie, which we grabbed on our way out. I’m a symptomatic celiac, and I didn’t have any reactions. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable!

Amazing for celiac! They have many many dishes, from apetizers to sweets. I have been there and I didn’t get sick! Im celiac syntomatic!

Delicious food and very crowded for good reason! Waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten free options and how to make items gluten-free if necessary. I had the huevos rancheros and it was delicious but kind of hard to eat and messy. I ate My daughter’s leftover lemon blueberry pancake, and it was absolutely delicious but Just know that it will have a quinoa texture. I did not ask about anything fried and just felt like I should not even take the chance to eat anything fried

I (celiac) ate breakfast here my very sensitive celiac mom. We had the lemon berry pancakes, eggs, toast, potatoes, and bacon. They do have to make the potatoes special for GF as well as the toast. Everything was really good and neither of us got sick.

Bit bizarre this place is listed. The server said they’re “gluten-free” fries were cooked in the same oil and that the buns and the burger are cooked on the same grill.
After 4 visits and $200 I find out that not every employee knows which baked goods are GF. Also, if you get food or baked goods to go , unstaple the bag and make sure you get what you’re paying for. I paid for 2 muffins and got 1. I was told the double chocolate cookies were GF and they’re not. The sign was missing at the time of the purchase so I asked. When I went back the next day and discovered this I was MAD! We were actually going to eat breakfast there again, but instead I just asked for the missing muffin ( which I was originally going to let slide) . Instead of apologizing for telling me misinformation the manager ( I think owner) Maria gets defensive. WRONG!!!!! Awful customer service!!!!

This was the BEST meal I’ve had in the Keys and it’s the last day of our trip. Menu is marked clearly marked gf/v/veg and contains nuts. The tacos were amazing! And the lavender lemonade was super tasty and refreshing. Only warning is that they do not have a dedicated fryer.

Lots of GF options! Cute place and it was hopping for breakfast! Had the churrasco steak and eggs for breakfast. Large, delicious portion! Friendly staff, good coffee, eclectic decor and hubby enjoyed his non GF meal as well. Also got a yummy gf blueberry muffin to go. We will be back on our next visit to the keys.

I had lunch here while vacationing in Key West. There are several gf options as well as desserts. Items are marked on the menu. I had shrimp tacos and banana cream pie. Both were delicious! I avoid eating out places that do not have a dedicated gf kitchen as I have had many issues with cross contamination. Traveling is very difficult but have found Key West to have several safe places for me to eat. I will definitely visit again in future travels to Key West! I highly recommend to anyone with celiac.

What a great find! We stopped here for lunch before we toured the Hemingway House which is across the street. Several family members have gluten and dairy allergies. We went with the tacos. I had steak and the rest of the family had the grilled mahi. They also have vegan cheese and sour cream to replace the dairy based products. We finished the meal off with the GF vegan key lime tarts. Amazing! So thrilled to have been able to get safe desert! Our server was very knowledgeable and checked back with us several times to ask how our meal was. Definitely worth seeking out when in Key West.

We’ve visited hundreds of restaurants in 16 years in the U.S. and Europe w celiac kids. It would be fair to say we know what we are doing. And really reasonable -This is the first place we’ve walked out of ever. Was recommended by other places that had gluten free and with the number of reviews here we sat down but were very disappointed as the waitress gave us a very lengthy no procedures, no separate utensils, no separate pans. Not helpful or reassuring. She suggested contamination quite likely, GF on menu didn’t really mean that and table next to us had one celiac person who already had received wrong item. My teenagers asked to leave.

We went here because of the reviews. The server was not knowledgeable. The manager said they do use separate pans and utensils. The food was good and so far I’m not sick, but this place does not live up to their safety reviews.

We got off to a rocky start. We were seated and sat at our table for a good 15 minutes while everyone around us was served, including patrons who were seated after us. We were exhausted after a long day of travel and grew increasingly irritated. My husband finally stopped someone who turned out to be a manager, and he completely turned our experience around. He was very apologetic and indicated there was a misunderstanding regarding who was responsible for our table. He took our order and our food came out quickly and was delicious. I had the Green Giant burger and my husband had the Blackened Mahi Mahi. My husband typically hates fish and yet absolutely loved his dish. A warning to those with celiac disease...their sweet potato fries are marked as gluten free, but they use a shared fryer so they are not gluten free. My husband would have been gluten poisoned if we hadn't asked about that. We told them we didn't want them when we discovered that, but there was a misunderstanding and we got them anyhow. The manager offered to comp the friends due to the confusion, but we paid for them anyhow and I happily ate them and they were delish. All in all, highly recommended...the manager is very good at his job (dealing with disgruntled patrons-ha!), and the food was very yummy!

Couldn’t have the bread but the waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac and substituted fruit salad for me. Delicious food and GF DF menu options and informed staff (informed fryer could cross-contaminate if you're considering the truffle fries). Party of 4 with different menu options and ask enjoyed our meal and want to go back again. Cuban coffee queen coffee is served. Nice covered outdoor area for seating. A wonderful find! Ordered Tarragon Chicken Salad Sandwich in GF wrap, Blueberry-Lemon Quinoa Pancakes, Lunar salad, Avacado & veggie salad. Food enjoyed by all. Planning to go back!

We stopped in here mid morning for a drink. And ended up both ordering dessert. I had a Mini Vegan Key Lime Pie, which was Excellent! My companion enjoyed his slice of Tropical cake, which i found out later was also gluten-free. There are numerous items on the menu marked gluten-free. I only wish we had more time so we could return for brunch. The only caution, and a recommendation to the Moondog Cafe, is that the gluten-free items in the cake cooler are mixed with the conventional items. It would be far better if the items were kept separate. The cake server assured me that they take gluten-free very seriously and change their gloves each time.

Ugh. So disappointing! Another seemingly celiac-friendly restaurant that actually caters to those who avoid gluten by choice, not because of an allergy. Was so excited to see so many GF options — pancakes! Fries! Tacos! — called out on the menu, and had been looking forward to eating here since it first opened. Told waitress I had celiac disease and was really looking forward to pancakes, since nowhere else on island has GF pancakes, and she said: “Oh, well if it’s an actual ALLERGY then you’re probably only safe with one of the salads.” Apparently everything is cooked on the same griddle, same fryer, etc., and anyone who says they have an actual allergy is steered away from all the delicious GF-noted items. I asked if maybe they could cook the corn tortillas in a pan, instead? She said “oh, maybe” and I was served three lukewarm tortillas on a plastic plate with eggs and beans on the side. So, if you’re avoiding gluten to be skinny, by all means dig in. Celiacs, look elsewhere, this isn’t for us.

Many things labeled gluten free on their menu, but thankfully the waiter warned me they use the same oil to fry everything and I could only have tacos or wraps. The waiter carried all of our food out at the same time and there was visible food on my plate from other, non-gf dishes.

I went here because of the good reviews but didn’t have a good experience with allergen safety. We ordered two GF vegan cheese pizzas and were brought out regular cheese. After asking they assured us they were vegan cheese and I ate two slices before they came over and told me it actually was not vegan cheese. They remade one of the pizzas and still charged us for the vegan cheese on both pizzas. I ended up feeling sick most of the night. Key lime pie was pretty good.

Switched out the burger bread for a gf wrap and the presentation was pretty. Might be gf friendly but my server was not sure about other allergies and seemed annoyed when i inquired about it. Their bakery treats are very tasty but experience was not good enough for me to go again.

Nice place with outdoor garden and shaded seating, as well as AC’ed inside places. GF is marked on the menu, but staff seams unaware of implications for celiacs. Eg they said the fries were gluten free even after admitting they have a shared fryer which is also used for eg non-GF dumplings.

GF markings on the menu cannot be trusted, they use shared fryers. Our server wasn't aware of what gluten was and asked if she should take the sour cream off my tacos.
Food was good, staff was decently attentive. I'm just hoping I don't have a reaction from their lack of knowledge on allergens.
