The waitress we had was fairly knowledgeable! However when I asked her which potatoes were the best, she mentioned the truffle fries (but they are fried in the same fryer as other gluten items) They do have a gluten free menu which is pretty extensive. Steak was delicious, creamed corn was awesome, and sour cream mashed potatoes were nice.
We had a lovely experience. I called ahead to see if they had GF options and they have a whole GF menu, items that are cooked in shared oil are NOT on the gf menu. That is when I knew I could eat here. We got salads (wedge and chopped), bacon wrapped scallops, steaks, asparagus, and baked potato. Portion sizes were great, food was delicious, waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten and he recommended a wine to go with my meal and it was perfect. Highly recommend as a celiac-safe place. Pricey but it is NYC after all 😉
Came here for dinner last night, when I told the server I have celiac he immediately went and got me a gluten sensitive menu. Note that it wasn’t called a gluten FREE menu, but I still felt comfortable ordering.
Tons of steak options, it says on the menu the steaks are just without the au jus. Lots of salads, sides, and a few dessert options. When they brought my food out they made a point to say that all of my plates were gluten free, which was a nice reminder considering I was with like 15 other people.
I had the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer, the 12 oz filet, the wedge salad, grilled asparagus, and loaded mashed potatoes. The loaded potatoes were the best part of the meal, they were so delicious. Everything else was pretty good too. Didn’t get sick at all either!
