They have a separate GF menu with an allergen guide on the back in case you have any other allergies. Like most restaurants, they say they can’t guarantee no cross contamination in the kitchen but they did write my order separately as GF and then it came out separately to the rest of the food so they definitely seemed to have some precautions in place at least. Food was super tasty and had no reaction (albeit I’m newly enough diagnosed that I don’t know if I’m asymptomatic or not).
Review based on “celebration menu”.
A large group of us went for a friends birthday.
Myself and my partner ordered the GF options as it is a sharer menu.
The member of staff was fantastic, talking through everything with me and added an extra GF item from the main menu so we weren’t just having a double helping of a starter. (She also let me partner order a serving a non-GF starter completely free of charge).
The food was delicious.
staff bringing out the food were all aware of my requirements.
A really positive experience throughout and will definitely revisit.
The restaurant offers a commendable gluten-free menu in a relaxed atmosphere, which is a great start. I appreciated being shown the allergens page at the back of the menu, as it provided useful information.
However, when my food arrived, I was uncertain if it was truly gluten-free. I found that the waitress was not very confident in her response to my questions. It’s important to note that while the allergens page indicates which items are gluten-free, it’s essential to specifically communicate your dietary needs to your server. From what I gathered, it seems that adjustments might be made to the ingredients in the dishes, so clear communication is key. Overall, I'm hopeful the restaurant can enhance their process for ensuring gluten-free options to provide extra peace of mind for diners.
