Very disappointed with moxie. They used to have a Gluten wise menu and their staff used to be knowledgeable about gluten free options, but not anymore . They don’t have their “Gluten wise “ menu anymore. I informed the server I’m celiac and asked him if I could still get the Tomato feta cheese with GF cracker as i had it many time before . He didn’t know about it. He said he doesn’t know he they carry any GF crackers. He went to ask the chef and he said yeah they still have the Gf crackers . I said ok I will get the feta cheese with these cracker he then asked me if I needed the bread on the side . I said no that’s why I informed you about the crackers

If you have any issues with gluten or other food allergies I DO NOT advise eating here. In general Moxies' restaurants have a great reputation for taking allergies seriously, so it was extra disappointing to have such a negative experience with them. I placed an online order, including outlining my son's allergies, and requested a call just to discuss how best to make his meal gluten-free. When our order arrived, they completely mixed up my order with his, and despite 'gluten allergy' being written on his order, his burger was made with a regular bun, which made him sick.

Staff was very friendly and attentive to my needs when I told them I have celiac. Manager came over to confirm my order and ensure it would be GF. I was nervous, as they call it a “gluten conscious” menu, which says, “Moxie’s Gluten Conscious menu is designed for lifestyle choice. This menu is not for allergies and is not gluten-free. The menu is simply used to assist guests wishing to limit gluten in making menu choices. PLEASE SPEAK DIRECTLY TO A MANAGER IF YOU HAVE A GLUTEN ALLERGY.” However, I got the salmon and avocado Cobb salad without croutons, it was delicious and I had 0 issues!
Definitely does not have a dedicated fryer which eliminates a lot of the menu.
A lot of the items marked gluten free require significant modifications to actually be gluten free without cross contamination.
I said I had Celiac and the waitress asked if it was mild or severe which was not confidence inspiring.
A manager does come out and supervise an allergy order though which is nice. Also the waitress was very willing to check with the kitchen about gluten free.

Their menu lists several items as “gluten conscious” which is not appealing to someone with celiac. The server asked me if I had “mild” or “severe” celiac which was a confusing question because I understand celiac .. as celiac…. Regardless, she checked with manager and kitchen and I got a plain salad with tofu. It was pretty sad.

My go to is usually the Cajun chicken sandwich. And they will put it on a gluten free bun for me. I’ve also got apps like their roasted feta and tomatoes. Instead of bread they substitute it for cucumbers for me. Or they have given me Mary brown gf crackers for the guacamole

They will bring out the manager to confirm no cross contamination. My daughter loves the gf burger and mashed potatoes (fryer is not dedicated and they know what that means)

Tons of options and best of all, a dedicated fryer for fries and they were maybe the best fries I’ve ever had!! I got the blackened chicken sandwich. It sounds like they normally have gf buns but were out. I got a lettuce bun and it was still delicious!!
