Yum! Great options, totally accommodating and knowledgable.
Fantastic food and great service
I will dine here every trip, as i did six years ago, when they were one of the few who had a GF menu. Love love love it!!!!! Had manchego salad, shrimp & grits, and flourless chocolate torte. Delicious, flawless service. Always happy to support restaurants that take allergies seriously.
One of the first restaurants in New Orleans to accommodate gluten free and celiac. They will not let you down! Separate gluten feee menu and careful with cross contamination. One of our best dinners in NOLA!
This restaurant is in a great location and the food is delicious. I had the pork chop with red beans and rice, which was a treat because all the other restaurants put flour in the red beans and rice. They had a gluten-free menu, which makes things easy.
I have celiac disease and, although I brought my own food during Mardi Gras, it wasn't very substantial so I wanted real food. Other reviewers recommended Muriel's so I risked it out of frustration for real food. Turns out, I did not get sick at all, and I'm super sensitive! One time I touched a friend's cell phone at my house, then ate a grape, and then had a celiac response. From her phone! So if I didn't get sick at Muriel's, they know what they are doing! And our server Heather was very nice about it, no attitude the way some do and was very conscientious of my options. Best creme brûlée ever!!! And my fish was fantastic. Wonderful restaurant. My companions all enjoyed their meals too. Pricy, but at least it was worth it!
Delicious!!! Had the honey child drink, shrimp and grits and creme brûlée. Amazing atmosphere and food, comfortable experience. Their shrimp and grits is made gluten free anyways which is awesome. I have celiac.
Gluten free menu had lots of yummy options. The blackened fish was the best tasting meal I have had in New Orleans. I have celiac and had no issues. Great, convenient location. We also had 2 waiters, but had excellent service.
Knowledgeable staff, awesome food, fantastic ambiance. The pork chops were fantastic!
Shrimp and grits were exceptional!!
Gluten free menu. Waiter said owner has family with Celiac and started providing GF dishes. Waiter said staff is aware of cross contamination and changes gloves, utensils, etc. GF orders on special plates. I had a prosciutto salad for lunch. Very good. Went back for dinner next day. Same great service. Ordered pork chop and flourless chocolate cake. Very tasty.
Gluten free menu and they will walk you through items on their menu which can be made gluten free. The staff was so confident in telling me what could be made gluten free, I worried at first. One of the dishes was a soup with pasta added in it. I was very skeptical and she went back to double checked. The pasta was added after the fact and could be left out. The food was delicious and no cross contamination.
Awesome!!!!! They have a gluten free menu and now serve brunch sat and Sunday . The food is fresh and delicious period!
Dedicated gluten free nenu, wait staff knew ingredients of all dishes, dessert menu and glorious food. Expensive side but worth it. Romantic, charming, low-key.
Delicious food and many GF options. Beautiful restaurant and great service.
I loved this restaurant! ! They had a separate gluten free menu and the food was so good. I went here twice while visiting. Muriel's salad was great and the pork chop also worth getting.
I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. I had the pork chop with sweet potatoes and greens. It has the New Orleans taste to it. I had made a reservation online and put in the comments I needed a gluten free meal for Celiac disease. When we got there I didn't even have to ask for a gluten green menu. They brought mine along with the others. The waitress was very eager to help me. And she also recommended the creme brûlée or the flourless chocolate cake. I chose the creme brûlée and it was great! We will go back the next time we go to New Orleans. I will tell you it's a little pricy but definitely worth it.
Impeccable service, a gluten free menu with many options and great tasting food
Fantastic food. The best filet mignon ever. Great service and beautiful atmosphere.
Wow! Dinner was excellent. although the famed shrimp and grits was not on the menu chef kindly made the accommodation and it was fantastic. Corn and crab soup and flour less chocolate cake were also amazing. highly recommend.
I have celiac and ordered the salad, Shrimp and Grits, and the creme brûlée. The salad was delicious, S&G's was outstanding, and the creme brûlée was good. I seriously wanted to lick my shrimp and grits plate clean because the sauce was so good! Highly recommend.
The pork chop was absolutely the best one I have ever had. So good! Helpful staff and the dessert was awesome as well!
Well informed, courteous staff!
I had the pork chop Phenomenal Highly recommend Made reservations Good food Actual chef
Great experience and excellent food. Separate menu with multiple options and knowledgeable staff. I enjoyed the shrimp creole with a salad to start. Great, rich flavor. All around wonderful meal in a great environment.
thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Muriel's ...very knowledgeable staff get food for those with celiac.
Great place for GF. Separate menu, great and knowledgable staff. 4 GF entrees, appetizers, salads, and sweets! The regular menu is small too. Was here a few years back and glad I returned! The chef changes up the menu so it's not always the same thing.
Muriels is celiac friendly. They have a gluten free menu. (I am always skeptical of gluten free menus because I don't trust them). The slightest gluten will cause me problems. I ordered the gulf fish entree and creme brûlée for dessert and had no issues after eating dinner. The dinner was AMAZING and truly gluten free. Hats off to Muriels!! I will go back! CELIAC FRIENDLY and TRULY gluten free for us celiacs! Yay :)
They have a gluten free menu and they are very helpful. The menu is not super extensive or exciting (meaning there's not anything that you wouldn't normally expect to be gluten free), but everything I've had here has been amazing, just really good food all around. Some days they have great gluten free soups and the fish is incredible. Jazz brunch on Sundays is really fun, too.
Separate gf menu with a good amount of options! Food was delish! Also worked around dairy allergy with no problems.
Clueless should be taken off site
I went home feeling sick. The server was completely clueless and I think they put vinegar dressing on my salad. I got the duck and sweet potato entree that wasn't good at all and the Brussel sprouts were burnt tasting. I'm really not a picky person and am very tolerant but since I went home feeling really sick after eating there, I would not recommend it for someone who has celiac disease or an actual intolerance to gluten. If you are GF just to diet then you'll be fine eating contaminated food.
Excellent choice for a nice meal near Jackson Square. Separate GF menu has several choices and the waitstaff were well informed.
GF menu was delicious. It was limited, but beautifully executed. Worth the price.
Absolutely loved the chicken Cobb salad and chocolate torte!
great gluten free options. separate gluten free menu. staff is very knowledgeable. the gf desert options go beyond the typical fare. wonderful experience in a beautiful atmosphere.
They happily gave me a GF menu and the food was outstanding. However, everyone I dined with got an app, entree, and desert for the same price as my entree--which was steak but still. I 'll definitely return but not frequently due to the price.
Not impressed and we had 2 servers. They both gave us different information. Not worth the high price. Went home not feeling well
pork chops were great! staff seemed knowledgeable and they even offered a GF menu
There wasn't much to choose from, and very little flexibility with options. For example, I wanted to order the lunch option which was a lunch entree of blackened catfish and soup or salad. However, none of the soups were gluten free and only one salad was part of the special. I asked if I could opt for the tomato basil salad and pay the difference but was unable to do so. The catfish was outstanding, however, and the place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Good food, good selections (not extensive, but better than nothing). My shrimp were overcooked, but the rest of the entree was well executed. They were well trained and I give point for an exclusive gf menu.
Very limited menu for g.f. I was disappointed as I had heard good things. I could not partake in the price-fixe menu, as they did not have an appetizer, entree, and dessert I could have. I ended up having a salad which is incredibly disappointing.
This is an excellent place but there a high price to pay. It's like a French restaurant (maybe it's the case) cause price is high, quality is there and portion are somewhat reasonnably small... I took the tina and the sauce was really good. If you take an apetizer, an entree and a glass of wine, expect to pay more than 50$ plus tip. Sometomes eating gf can be so expensive. I miss those days I could eat in a family restaurant or Subway :-(
Our meals were fantastic! There was so much to choose from! The blackened catfish was amazing. Highly recommend!! We will definitely come back:)
They had a great menu and were willing to substitute for my picky daughter. My only complaint is that they didn't have g-free bread. I don't generally expect g-free breads, but at a restaurant of this caliber, they should have had it.
Great GF menu and service. Really great food- one of the best meals I have ever had in NOLA.
This is a wonderful place. I would definitely eat here when I am in New Orleans again.
Excellent service, awesome gluten free sauces and menu! Best tasting and service I found in NOLa! Even my non gluten free friends thought it was the best of 6 nights of dining!
Great staff. Being severely celiac, I ask a lot of questions. Our waiter did not know the answers to many of them, including whether or not the GF protein (chicken breast, fish, steak) was cooked on the same surface as GFull things or things with GFull seasonings. I get very wary and cautious when places will not let me speak to the manager or chef. In the end, I stuck with a salad--standby--and didn't have any issues. It was good, not exceptional. It is pricey and not suitable for children. I would recommend it if you are not severely intolerant, but otherwise a great choice. The creme brulee is literally to die for--and GF!
