Knowledgeable staff and I felt very safe eating the fish tacos here, since they are fried separately! Food was excellent, and there were many taco options gluten free. Definitely talk to your waiter before ordering the chips or fried fish, and confirm that they still use separate fryers. Would highly recommend this place!
We chose Nada based on FMGF reviews, and reviews in another app. Unfortunately, the experience was not as good as others. The server was not very informed about gluten free options. After ordering (but before food arrived) we were informed the corn tortillas were prepared on the same surface as the flour tortillas, and that the tortilla chips came from a shared fryer. After checking again, they were able to prepare the corn tortillas on a different pan. I got the feeling that the kitchen was at least more aware than the server so we did eat the food. My tacos were a bit bland, and same for my dining partners. The staff and location were pleasant, but I was left with a small amount of doubt.
Had a delicious and safe dinner at Nada last night. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, suggested items on the menu and ensured our food was to our satisfaction. I had the shrimp tacos which were not only celiac safe but absolutely amazing! We can’t wait to go back. The chips are also safe for someone with celiac disease.
Excellent food!!! Went there for the first time today based on FMGF reviews. The staff is very knowledgeable about gf food preparation, cross contamination, etc. No gf menu but many items on the menu are already gf or can be modified. Staff welcomes questions and are very helpful. Even the manager came over to make sure all was satisfactory. He was very knowledgeable as well. They definitely have my trust and I am sure this will become one of my regular destinations!
Great experience for a Celiac! No GF menu but very knowledgeable staff. I reserved on open table and included a note about Celiac. The host confirmed this with me. The manager came over right away and said he saw the note and had checked with the kitchen and the fryers were uncontaminated. Server advised on the menu. Food is incredibly good with lots of GF options. Will definitely return!
No gf menu and not marked on menu. Staff seems knowledgeable, but I prefer things “in writing.”
Portions not huge, which is good for the waistline, but to me prices are high for portion size.
Full disclosure: I let myself get a bit low blood sugar before coming in so my patience is not at its peak...
Good experience. I let the manager know that I was celiacs and he and my server worked together to let me know options and to make sure my meal was prepped safely.
They menu has changed a bit but the staff has always seemed knowledgeable about their gluten free options.
They say the chips are fried in a separate fryer. I’ve eaten them many times before and have been fine. However this last time going. My stomach did hurt after the chips. It wasn’t the worst reaction by any means. But definitely not “normal”. This was the first time. I probably will not trust the chips again…
Didn’t have a great experience here. Not sure if the server wasn’t knowledgeable about GF options, but he told me that there were only salads, ceviche, and 1 of the tacos that were GF (cauliflower). I’m not sure if the menu changed since the last review? But the server didn’t tell me anything other than what I listed above. Chips are in a shared fryer. Probably will not be back if those are the only options.
Only a few gluten free options, and only 3 gf/df options, one of which they were completely out of. I ended up getting the chicken fajitas with no cheese or crema, and they could only give me plain, cold corn tortillas to prevent cross contamination. Between the dry tortillas and the super dry chicken, it was not worth the $26 the meal cost. 😬
