Nandos is always my safe go-to, this location was no different. Staff are knowledgeable and a manager always takes my order for safety. They have a physical allergen list on a tablet if you want to look at specifics. At some locations I will use my own cutlery, but I had no issue using theirs at this location
First time at a Nando’s since dx. My order was taken by a manager, they didn’t have a separate GF menu but you can find detailed allergy information on their website. I was able to order what I wanted without substitution. My meal had an allergy flag when it arrived.
I was told the fries are the only thing that go into the fryer so they’re completely GF. I didn’t risk the self serve drinks or sauces.
I was disappointed that the only GF dessert was gelado.
It was ok, the food was lovely but options were extremely limited. I was disappointed as the coleslaw was not gluten free. Though all of the sauces are.
The chips and leek chips are gluten feee, but they do not have any gluten free breads or buns, so unless you want a piece of chicken on its own, the options are poor.
Overall my food was really nice but i’d have preferred more options. The member of staff serving us did not seem knowledgeable about allergens and told me that i should order at the till instead.
When we first walked in and asked if they had any gluten free food, the manager was able to immediately point out everything on the menu that I could get gluten free or adapt by simply not adding any bread to get it gluten free. All the chicken and sauces are gluten free and almost all of the sides. The chips are cooked in a separate gluten free fryer with its own oil. When we sat down at the table the manager took time to explain the menu and how if I asked for gluten free at the counter they would make sure there were absolutely no cross-contact. The food was absolutely lovely and I felt very safe eating there. I would absolutely recommend the place.
