I came here twice with no issue (although the second time I came the chef came to the table to discuss the ice cream with me and went on to say that he'd probably kill himself if he couldn't eat gluten...which made me feel REAL GOOD). Third time around and I'm now sitting in the bathroom at Luxor ejecting my entire stomach contents right before a show that I have been dying to see for years. Also, last time I came they had a Guinness braised something on the gluten free menu, which I questioned and has been removed from the menu since. I'm not sure they really know what they're doing there in regards to Celiac disease.
Went here for lunch. They have a separate GF menu and Magners and Strongbow cider on tap. Had the colcannon soup and creamed corn. Both were delicious and rich. I would suggest having them leave off the topping (bacon and basil) if you are vegetarian. Shepherd's pie was also available. My friend had the non-GF fish and chips but didn't like them much and ended up eating my food instead!
Lots of variety on the gluten free menu. There are separate menus for lunch and dinner, though many choices repeat. I got the tomato salad + chicken and a side of creamed corn and the creamed corn was amazing!! It was almost puréed but had amazing flavor, I can't even describe it. Btw the server did tell me if you are celiac to avoid the spare ribs and anything with cheese because the sources for those items cannot be verified gluten free all the way through. Everyone was very friendly.
I ate here my first night in Vegas. They had a separate menu for gluten free options. I got the seasoned chicken, mashed potatoes, and sautéed mushrooms. I ended up getting very sick that night. I am not sure which dish was the culprit, but I was very disappointed.
The wait staff was very knowledge and accommodating of my wife's gluten and dairy allergies. The waiter explained the menu options. When the food was delivered to the table, he explained how the food was prepared. So we were comfortable prior to eating the food. Definetly recommend.
Not a good place for celiacs!! I was excited to eat here after seeing the good reviews and looking at the gluten free menu; however, after asking the waiter if the gluten free food was prepared in a separate area of the kitchen, she looked at me like I was crazy and said "no..." I asked what the difference was between how normal versus gluten free was prepared and she said there was no difference. I then asked to speak to the chef. He was very nice but explained that since the kitchen is so small, they do not have a separate place to prepare gluten free. He said that some meals just naturally do not have gluten in them, but cross contamination is a risk. Some of the meals labeled "gluten free" pass through a fryer with normal flour! I explained that I am very sensitive, and he told me my best bet would be to just get a salad. I was afraid to add meat to it (he wasn't confident that the cutting boards they use to cut meat wouldn't have gluten on them), so I ended up with just a normal salad that left me hungry after. I am not sure if they recently got new staff, but with my experience the staff was not knowledgable about celiac disease/gluten and they did not take the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination. If you want to feel safe, check out Mon Ami Gabi. Delicious and some of the most knowledgable staff I've ever come across!
Service was great. Food was amazing. Cannot say enough good things about this place! The chef and sous chef even came out and told me what was ok, what wasn't, and everyone knew! Our waitress even came over immediately and said we've got "this" drink. Its our only gluten free beer and I don't want you to get anything you shouldn't!
Dedicated gluten free menu that was comparable in size to regular menu. I had the salmon and it was moist and flaky. It was served with cherry tomatoes. I also ordered grilled asparagus and the mashed potatoes with goat cheese. The potatoes were amazing.
Had the Blackened Mahai Mahai served on fresh tomatoes topped with coleslaw. Made my server aware of gluten and dairy allergy she was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was awesome, the menu had a nice variety that would appeal to anyone.
Dedicated gf menu. knowledgeable staff. Good service. GREAT food!!! The creamed corn is totally to die for. We also had the goat cheese mashed potatoes which were soso... Our entrees were the filet and shrimp (great shrimp and very tender steak though the steak didn't have a real robust flavor) and the shepherds pie. Yum yum yum... Definitely go for the shepherds pie! Well deserved 5 stars here!
