Called ahead and hostess was not familiar with Celiac but when I said "very strict gluten free" she knew what I meant and shared to make sure the server knows ahead of time, that GF soy sauce is available and GF meals are cooked in the back and arrive when your table's food is ready. When we arrived, the server was very knowledgeable about safe menu items, sauces that would be okay, ones to avoid, etc. This is one of the first times my Celiac 12 year old has felt this safe/included at a restaurant and we had no issues after! She ordered the kids steak hibachi and loved it!
