I asked the waitress if there were GF options. Most apps cannot be made GF but all pastas can be gluten free. Not a ton of options but it gets the job done. Noodles are cooked in a separate pot and they are knowledgeable about cross contamination. They also have vegetable noodles. I got the pomodoro sauce with a GF penne. It looks slightly different than the glutenful version but the pomodoro sauce does contain gluten so they had to make it special. I asked the waitress about the sauce to ensure it was ok to eat. She said they had to make a special version for my allergy. It was so good and I did not get sick! It was very busy so make sure you book a reservation.
I ordered the chicken parm with GF pasta for takeaway and called ahead to make sure this could be accommodated. I was told that the dish could be made GF if they used in unbreaded chicken. When I picked up my order the container was labeled “gluten allergy” so I thought all was well. Turns out they swapped the pasta but still gave me the fully breaded chicken. I called and confirmed that this was the case. They refunded my meal but I ended up with no dinner and found this level of mistake pretty concerning. Won’t be eating here again.
Unsure how to rate this. It’s delicious, and I’ve eaten here safely once. The second time I visited was for my birthday and I got very sick afterwards. I ordered the same things both times, polenta appetizer, pesto chicken pasta (gf) entree, and caramel bundino (kind of a caramel custard) dessert. My waitress marked my allergy and said she’d have the kitchen not use any pasta water in my polenta, and use separate water for my pasta. Nonetheless I still got sick the second time around.
Gluten free pizza and bread here are definitely not celiac safe. Our server told us pizza is cooked on the same grill as the regular pizza. "It's too small back there for a separate gluten free area." Gluten free bread is just their gf pizza crust. Which is also cooked on the regular grill. Our celiac family member got gf pasta and said it was good. Just a bummer because we read reviews here and chose North for a celebration meal, because we mistakenly thought celiac safe pizza and bread were an option. I even asked about it when I made the reservation and was assured pizza and bread were celiac safe.
The food was delicious! GF options are all marked on the menu and GF pasta can be substituted in any of their pasta dishes. The Chicken Pesto was great, and the pasta was so good I had to ask the server to double-check that it was in fact gluten-free. I'm new to being a Celiac, so did not ask questions about separate kitchen space or changing gloves, etc. On the menu, they do explicitly say something along the lines of "while we offer gluten-free options, our kitchen is not gluten-free". Cross-contamination is certainly a risk but based on talking with our server, I have confidence that they would be accommodating and handle GF items carefully if asked.
I emailed the restaurant before we traveled to Denver. They list some gf on the menu, but I wanted to see what else was there. I was emailed back by the head regional chef for multiple locations. He told me everything that was safe. He also said the staff was very knowledgeable and would help me as well. I felt great going there. We went for our anniversary and it was one of the best meals I ever had! I felt so taken care of! It was so good that we went back a few days later with friends and family for pizza!
I had dinner here last night and it was an amazing experience! The entire staff is so knowledgeable about the gluten free options and great about double checking for cross contamination with each dish. We had a salad, pizza and pasta and everything was delicious. I felt completely safe eating here and will definitely be coming back!
We ate dinner here as a family in September. My teenagers loved the food as much as I did. The Waiter went above and beyond, in fact all the staff was impressive. The staff was Very knowledgeable about celiac and eager to make our dining experience positive. I would without hesitation eat here again.
Server (Emily) was knowledgeable about GF options and pointed out everything on the menu that was GF or could be made GF. GF pizza was outstanding!
The waiter was knowledgeable about gluten free options. He asked if I had a gluten allergy which is always comforting to me. I ordered a pizza on a gluten free crust. They took precautions to help lessen the possibility of cross contact. Unfortunately I did not care for the sauce on the pizza. If I liked the food I would have given it 5 stars.
Waitstaff were very careful and reassured me they didn’t let any cross contamination happen. Almost all pasta and pizzas are available gf and the gf pizza was delicious! A great crust. Also had a dessert and the chef came out to personally reassure me he didn’t include any ingredients that could’ve been contaminated.
This newly opened location has a large and open design. A huge change from the previous occupant.
They do not mark the menu items with GF, so you have to ask about every items of interest.
I had beets to start and salmon with GF pasta as main course. It was fine. My wife had the homemade pasta which she enjoyed.
Too expensive for what we got. I would go back to sit at the bar and try a GF pizza.
So happy to find an Italian restaurant with GF pasta! Our waiter was very cautious and took it seriously, ensuring my caesar salad had no croutons, and announcing that my dish was GF when giving it to me.
I got the pesto pasta, which was delicious, but I will admit the GF noodles easily crumbled to pieces at the bottom of the dish.
