The gluten free pasta was exceptional and the staff was knowledgeable about gluten allergies. It would be great if there was more than 1 gluten free appetizer though. It look an hour for our pasta dishes to come out so an appetizer in the meantime would have been good.
Pretty good overall! They took my severe allergy really seriously which I appreciated! The manager came out to let me know the GF pizza is in a separate pan, but cooked in the same oven that has lots of flour. I decided to instead get GF pasta which was pretty good. If you’re not quite as strict about cross contamination there’s a huge number of options for you. Very serious, kind staff.
Delicious! And creative! Like another comment, I wanted the truffle bread, but gluten free, and they used their GF pizza crust to replicate the dish for me. By far the best GF pizza I've ever had! It's thicker and softer than places like Blaze and Mod and Maddio's. All pasta options on the menu are offered GF, and they'll try to find a way to make other menu items GF if requested. Have already been back! Definitely a new favorite.
I went to dinner last night here and was not my favorite but did feel safe here. All of their pasta sauces are gluten free (they double checked with the chef for me) and they use separate pasta water when specified it’s for celiacs. They did suggest that they could swap the truffle garlic bread my friends ordered to the gluten free pizza crust topped like the bread which was pretty good. The pasta serving was definitely a smaller portion than the non-gluten free and was 3 dollars more. They did have different people serve me than the waiter I ordered with and they didn’t realize one was gluten free but easily figured it out when I asked. For something like pizza, I would ask if it is gluten free when brought to you. I would go back but it’s not a new go to. They do validate parking which is nice.
I just went here for the first time after reading another review. I was dying to try the house made pasta! Absolutely worth it! For pasta, the white sauce and red sauce are both gluten free. There is not a designated fryer for some of the appetizers, so be aware if you are sensitive to that. It felt really special having homemade pasta that was safe for me!!
North Italia is a take on an Italian kitchen. One of the hostesses has celiac and was very helpful in stating what could and could not be made gluten-free. Additonally our server had a notepad with a gluten-free "cheat sheet".
Everyone involved was very knowledgeable about criss contamination, what was and wasn't gluten-free containing, and how to modify the dishes to make them work.
