Being new to the Gluten free world, I've been afraid to go out to eat. I came here and instantly felt at ease with the knowledgeable and caring staff. They brought out gluten free bread and dipping oil for me, I was thrilled. I highly recommend Not your average Joe's.
I was here in October 2015 for an exchange and they have a GF menu and they know a lot about celiac disease. Staff was very kind.
It's a burger joint. 3 of us ate there only one of us is celiac. I was offered gf bread and seperate dipping. Very good. But we all ordered our burgers med and came back burnt n greasy yet still pink inside. I will not return. To high priced for quality of food.
We ate here last night and the food and service were terrific. They have a huge and very impressive GF menu. Our server noticed immediately that I was looking at the GF menu and asked me if I wanted a GF roll. She brought out a delicious and very soft onion roll. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.
8/9/15 they have added GF Mac and cheese to kids menu and GF carrot cake to dessert options. 9/21/13 We've had takeout and ate at the restaurant at least a dozen times over the past year and we've had mixed experiences (missing items from takeout) but I'll bump up my rating because they appear to be improving. 10/25/12 GF rolls, separate GF menu. Not much for GF dessert except sorbet. Not much for my daughter except a burger (on GF bun). Waitress wouldn't bring out Hoodsie for her because she thought it was not GF (but it is according to Hood). 3 stars for a family 4 if you go w/o kids.
Outstanding. Probably the best GF restaurant in the Merrimack Valley.
Excellent gf options! Fantastic, knowledgable staff.
I ordered out from here and it was disappointing. The GF roll on my sandwich was stale and they forgot my sister's pizza. They also didn't give me a GF roll or oil which is why I go here.
Although Joe's offers a nice GF menu, I was not a fan of their caramelized onion rolls which is their bread alternative. My server was not very knowledgable with the gluten free options or which items of these were dairy free. Hopefully their staff will become more knowledgable and they will have other bread options soon!
I fell in love with this place instantly. I am a very sensitive celiac and was good to go here. For the first time in about 2 years I had bread and dipping oil. It was unbelievably good. They make all their own gfree bread. I had the burger with a gfree bun. Their bread and buns are some of the best gfree breads I've ever had. Burger was excellent. They had heir own gluten free menu. Just love this place!!!!!
So careful not to cross contaminate!! Give you a gf onion roll and seperate dipping oil. Food is brought over by the manager also. I had the chicken piccata with gf pasta and it was so good my mom was questioning if it was gf or not until she could taste the difference! There is gluten free done good and gluten free done right. Usually gluten free done right isn't good and gluten free done good isn't done right, somehow they managed to make it good and right! Really is not the average gluten free menu like it says!
They were great! So careful to not cross contaminate and even have GF rolls. Different shaped plates to separate too!
I was given exceptional service! My waitress was so kind, and my food was brought over by the manager. I ordered a Waldorf salad with low-cal Zinfandel dressing on the side. I didn't have the dressing, but the salad was wonderful! I was also given a a gfree onion roll (they are Gillian's brand). It was obviously microwaved, but it was still good. I was also given my own dipping oil. I didn't try it, so I don't know if it is any different from their regular dipping oil. Overall, pretty good place to eat out. Lots of options on the menu.
Love the chicken piccata with gluten free pasta. Great drinks
I love them, they are great about the gluten allergy and they use gillians rolls.
could use more gf dessert options.
One of the few places that have gluten free rolls for their burgers. Excellent staff and I will come yet again.
Excellent GF menu, and strict GF policy. The manager carried all of my dishes over while the server carried everything else, which guaranteed no cross-contamination. As soon as I ordered an entree off the GF menu, the manager came over and I asked if I wanted the GF bread & oil before my meal. Felt safe eating here, and got a great meal!
Dedicated GF menu, educated staff, GF rolls, excellent cocktails, good vibe.
SO YUMMY! Best bread for the table I've ever had. They even made me a gluten free dairy free lobster roll!!!!!!!!!! Also the sorbet was amazing. However I did feel kinda iffy the next day so I am not sure if this restaurant was the culprit or not (thats why it lost its 5th star)
I'm so sorry but I'm going to have to give this rating. The menu looked great; huge gf. The food looked good. The staff was amazing. Chef and 2 managers talked to us. First dish came back with gluten after testing with Nima. 5/6 of us had already eaten. Tested next 5 dishes. All had some gluten (one was high). Tested this later with EZ gluten strips. Same result. May be from airborne flour. They are trying very hard and want to do this right but something went wrong. 4 of us had small reactions the next day but were minimum bc we only ate one thing. Could have been worse.
The bread and dip are fantastic!! The entrees are also delicious.
If I could give this restaurant 100 stars, I would! Impressed from the moment when we walked in the door and were automatically offered a gluten free menu. When we sat down, the waiter noticed the gluten free menu and asked if I had an allergy and explained that they clean the kitchen station and use clean utensils to cook the gluten free items. All of the staff was extremely friendly and personable. The manager, Will, was a very nice gentleman and made sure that we were happy with our food. The gluten free bread and dip was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken picatta and it was very good as well. This will be our go to when we are in the area!
My wife and I went there for lunch. My wife has Celiac and it is often very difficult to dine out on Cape Cod for that reason. This place was great, starting with a dedicated Gluten free menu. There are many excellent choices. The waitress, nothing that my wife had the gluten free menu asked if we wanted bread and informed my wife that they had gluten free roll if she would like that. Two different servers brought the bread and roll to the table with different shaped dishes containing their dipping sauce so as to avoid cross contamination. The same routine was followed when presenting the entrees. They definitely pay attention and the food was great. Bravo for the attention to detail.
The food was exceptionally great! The gluten free menu was awesome. So many choices. I had the chicken piccata served over pasta. oooh, it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Went there for Mother's Day with my Family. I told them I had celiac and waitress was on top of it, she informed manager and cook staff. I asked for gluten-free bread and within minutes, a different server came over and put bread on the table stating "here is your gluten-free bread". It was regular bread....... waitress and Manager both apologized but that doesn't fix the problem ......will never go back. Besides all that, Service was awful!
Food is fantastic with a bunch of GF options. They even bring out GF bread with a separate dipping sauce for people with Celiac. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and made sure the risk of gluten exposure was minimized. This is easily one of the best places I've been to for GF food.
I'm new to the gluten free world. I don't have celiac but I'm very gluten sensitive/intolerant. Who knew. This place is great. Decent options on the menu from bread with a dipping sauce at your table through dessert. I just finished eating so I don't know about any cross contamination issues. They were very knowledgeable and friendly.
gf menu, beer, trained staff. love this place
amazing food. they give gluten free bread and dip with every meal; the bread is soft and delicious. if you get a salad, get the dressing on the side.
LOVE NYAJs! It's one of the very few places that offer GF bread (and its caramelized onion bread that's served warm with my own dipping sauce). Their menu changes which gives new foods to try. I attended a GF 6 course wine pairing at the Glen Mills site and loved sampling more foods with other Celiacs and those with NCGS. I rave about this place at the NJ Celiac Support Association #9 support group.
Excellent GF menu, attentive and well-trained servers, consistently safe for me (Celiac). Servers remember and confirm at every stage GF. I am comforted by their consistency and professionalism; even when in Philadelphia tried the experience there and was consistent and delicious! Great to feel safe and enjoy well prepared meal.
So, I did get glutened here, but I really don't think it is something that normally happens. That is why I am still giving them a 4 star. Ordered the Ahi Tuna Wontons. Someone in the kitchen made a mistake and they put regular soy sauce on it. They actually caught the error, but not in time. The manager came out asked me how sensitive I was. I have celiac, so, pretty sensitive. He was very upset that it happened. Our whole meal was free and he took my number to call me the next day to see how I was. We are always taking chances when we go to any restaurant. I really appreciated their honesty and they really could have not said anything to me at all, butnthey made a point to come and talk to me and I was really disappointed, but I could tell they were all very disappointed too. Even the server was so apologetic. I would still recommend this place, but if you get any Asian flavored food, make sure it is GF soy sauce. Side note: The GF onion bread and oil dip is amazing.
