I have gluten and dairy and they were excellent to deal with. Separate gluten free menu and gluten free rolls to start! I would definitely recommend.
The gluten free menu was extensive. The waitress was very attentive of my food restriction which was very reassuring. I had a gf roll, the haddock with mashed potatoes and peas, everything was delicious and didn't get sick. I was really impressed. Would definitely come here again when I visit the Cape!
So good!! Had the Cobb salad and a cocktail with out getting sick. GF menu is extensive and staff is knowledgeable. Even have GF rolls for the table before your meal!
third time this week! safe for Celiacs and yummy!!
My wife and I went there for lunch. My wife has Celiac and it is often very difficult to dine out on Cape Cod for that reason. This place was great, starting with a dedicated Gluten free menu. There are many excellent choices. The waitress, nothing that my wife had the gluten free menu asked if we wanted bread and informed my wife that they had gluten free roll if she would like that. Two different servers brought the bread and roll to the table with different shaped dishes containing their dipping sauce so as to avoid cross contamination. The same routine was followed when presenting the entrees. They definitely pay attention and the food was great. Bravo for the attention to detail.
What an amazing place! The variety and number of gluten free options was wonderful! I will be back!
Very delicious complementary gf bread with oil! Extensive gf menu and knowledgeable staff.. didn't have to worry one bit!
Harvest Mac & Cheese (without the bread crumbs) is delicious. However, I had to send back the quesadilla. The tortilla was too hard and tough to chew. They have a burger but no sides to go with it.
They were amazing! Brought me my own GF bread with my own oil to dip. First place I have gone to since my diagnosis that has GF menu!
Great service! Sat at the bar and he understood gluten-free menu, being celiac himself! loved it, can't wait to be back!
Very good service!!! Most delicious GF dedicated menu.
My family has been eating at Not Your Average Joes for years, and when I was recently diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, we found out about the gluten free menu! There are so many great options and even some you won't find on the regular menu! They also give you a really good gluten free roll. I'd highly recommend the salads, the gluten free chicken picatta, or the pesto gnocchi (not sure if this was a summer special or not.)
Great choice for those needing gf Manager delivers the gf food separately and our waiter was so knowledgable and efficient. They start you with gf bread and dipping oil which was very good. Scallops are perfectly cooked. Finished evening with carrot cake that although waiter said was from outside vendor was Delish and we had no issues. Highly recommend!
Our family has been eating here for years sometimes more than once a month. We have a Celiac child and she hasn't been Glutened EVER from here. Always respectful managers who bring out her food, to servers who do a really good job of understanding the cross contamination aspect of the disease. Their regular food is good as well. Just saying...
I have Celiac Disease and was told to try this out. First time I went I was glutened, the waiter made a mistake. I was sent a gift card and urged by the manager to try it again... Glutened again. I'll never go here Again!
Amazeballs. They take GF seriously. Manager personally delivers all GF food. They have delicious GF bread and bring you your own dip, to avoid cross contamination. Dedicated grill space and they will change fryer oil if you want GF fries.
Typical gf bun/burger fare. No one got sick so successful trip to a restaurant located in a mall.
Special GF Menu had a good variety. Everything was delicious. I'm also Dairy Free and the staff was careful to let the kitchen know this. My plates were even delivered separately by the manager so that I would feel comfortable knowing it was handled especially for me versus the rest of my table. Definitely recommend this place
The food/service was so good here, the manager came over and told us what went through in the kitchen. The GF bread was awesome and the regular food was amazing. The food came fairly fast and they definitely knew what gluten free is! The best part is that I didn't get sick after. 5/5
Love the attentiveness the staff gives when you let them know you're GF. The manager always brings out my food. Also, love the GF rolls!
Loved the GF bread and oil here! Don't get the Ahi tuna roll, it comes out hot. So weird. My server didn't know what gluten was since he was too concerned to give me the bacon I ordered for my cheese burger and asked me if I was sure I could have it. At least he was concerned.
This place is defiantly Aces in my book. I ordered the chicken piccata. It was absolutely delicious.
delicious gf food. I love the gf bread. really good with cross contamination and knowledgeable staff!
The staff is very helpful and accommodating. GF bread and dip was good and the GF menu is impressive. Loved our dinner.
Gluten free bread and separate dip as well as a great gluten free menu, including pasta! The manager usually brings out the bread/entree to ensure its safe handling. And everything is so tasty!
Awesome GF experience here. The manager served me personally to differentiate my order from my non-GF wife's. Excellent onion dinner roll, and plenty of GF options on a separate menu.
We love this restaurant! They made my son fresh potato cut French fries pan fried separately. Lots of options and everyone is so helpful!
Great menu and felt great the next day!!!! The waiter also Celiac and he was awesome!
Exceeded my expectations!! Gluten free onion bread with their dipping sauce and a whole gluten free menu! Chicken piccata was wonderful & the staff was pleasing! Must go for celiacs
One of my favorite gluten free menus. The onion rolls and olive oil/herb dip are such a great way to start the meal. If I did not know it was GF I would not have known the difference. Large gluten free menu. I had a hamburger which was served hot and delicious. A manager brings every gluten free item to the table which makes me think they have a very good understanding of cross contamination and take no chances.
Very nice gf menu!! helpful staff! rolls have soy. gf pasta, burger, salads and sandwiches. worth looking up!
Always a great meal, GF roll is yummy. Have always had great meals here t
Great menu selection available online to preview the choices. Wonderful soft muffin/roll for the dipping oil. Gave me my own separate oil so no cross contamination! Very polite and attentive waitress. Owner of franchise stopped by to see if we needed anything else! Delicious dinner, extra roll for no charge. A+ service and meal
Loved the gluten-free caramelized onion roll with garlic and oil dip. The quesadillas were also good with an unexpectedly yummy jalepeno and pineapple salsa. Martin, our server, was very attentive and helpful.
Not truly gluten free.... They told me on the phone they had dinner rolls when I arrived they brings a gluten free hamburg bun into pieces for my dipping....dish was tasty but felt like 2nd rate not going out of their way more than they have to...waitress gets one star sure to talking with other waitresses everytime we needed her..she would see is teaching avg look other way....with very little effort they could be 4 or 5 stars.
Decent sized GF menu consisting of mostly sandwiches and salads. GF toasted onion roll for sandwiches was soft & chewy, same bun is used as a dinner roll. Waitstaff very attentive. Had turkey club sandwich with real oven baked turkey, not deli meat, but was a little under seasoned. Would go back though.
Extensive gluten free menu and helpful staff.
The waiter brought me warm spongy delicious gluten-free buns and Parmesan dipping sauce - and I was in heaven! That alone was enough - so delicious! Then my hamburger in a gluten-free bun came, and I was so happy to enjoy that rare treat. The staff are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They told me the fries are not gluten-free so that was a disappointment - I hope they can change that in future. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! I’ll definitely go back!
Incredibly celiac and allergy friendly. There are few celiac friendly restaurants in Woodbridge, but this is a safe place with knowledgeable staff. They have a large GF menu, and if you say you have celiac the manager/chef will probably come by or may even wait on you. Several good experiences. Did have one waitress once who was a little off her game since it was a very busy late night and slipped up with regular bread, but I checked before eating it since I’m careful, but it was a good reminder to be extra vigilant.
I don’t know if there has been a change to the kitchen, but in the past 8 months, I have had issues with cross contamination. Twice with barley in my food, which they said was due to a cutting board to close to the gluten food, and tonight I found a piece of pasta in my green beans. The manager said chances were that it was regular pasta. I loved this place and trusted them. Love the place! They actually have a menu that has quite a few choices. They seem to understand about celiac and gluten intolerance. Each time my meal was brought out separately.
Amazing GF menu selection: appetizers, burfgers, pasta, dessert. Had a hard time choosing but went with 4 cheese pasta with added steak tips. Bread and dip were delicious.
We were excited to go here after reading the reviews but were sorely disappointed. The utensils and plates were dirty, our waters had floaters in them and my celiac daughter was ill right after she ate. She had the gf bread which a piece looked like it had some green mold on it (she didn’t eat it)and had a hamburger and fruit. Hamburger was not good and bun was average. Not impressed with serving staff either. Would not recommend d for celiacs.
Great food. This location in Silver Spring was a little chaotic. We had all the gluten free bread and cider and seafood pasta he could eat, but he was glutened and had a headache and issues within a couple of hours. No problems at other locations.
The staff takes gluten allergies/celiac disease very seriously. The manager has to personally deliver every gluten free meal ordered to ensure its safe. I had the gf bread with dipping sauce (they brought me out my own separate dipping sauce dish), Thai lettuce wraps, and the burger on the gf bun. All were delicious!!! The gf bread is really the star. I had no problem afterward and didn’t get ill!!
The food was VERY good, but service was absolutely poor. The service was poor enough that the manager got involved and comp’d our 4 person meal plus a free dessert. The appetizer bread and dip was DELICIOUS! And save a piece for the tomato basil soup. I didn’t love the rosemary mayo on the turkey club, but the sandwich itself was great. My family is all GF(true celiacs) and had the 4 cheese pasta, piccato and jambalaya with NO complaints 👌🏻 the gf carrot cake was a nice change for dessert options.
Amazing food! I'm celiac and RARELY have this many options! Separate menu with some many things to choose from - even dessert! The service was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Atmosphere/decor is cool as well. DEFINITELY will be coming back!
I have been here three times, and it is one of my favorite restaurants. They bring out great gluten free bread with a delicious olive oil dip. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I have Celiac Disease and I was totally fine eating here!!
This place was great. The bread and dip was wonderful. I had the four cheese pasta. It was cooked in fresh water which a lot of places don't do. The menu had a lot of choices. The manager brought everything out to me so he knew I got it safely. I can not wait to go back.
From start to finish, you never feel excluded in the dining out experience. I love how they have gluten-free rolls as an alternative to the oil and focaccia. Servers will gladly provide you with your own oil dish to ensure there is no cross contamination. The meals are delicious and there are many choices. They take celiac seriously and it’s a great place to go with friends.
The staff is great. Have a dedicated gluten free menu. Have gluten free bread and will give you your own dipping sauce. I’ve never gotten sick eating here.
Went on Monday for lunch with 6 people including my 5 year old celiac child. Was impressed with the breadth of the GF menu. She was thrilled to have some GF bread. Unfortunately, while she was eating the GF macaroni, I realized there was a curly noodle in the middle of her GF penne. The kitchen said they think a noodle from a regular mac and cheese just accidentally slipped into her dish but I don't see how that is possible if any sort of basic precautions are being made. She woke up in the middle of the night with cramps. We will likely try another location of this chain again due to the broad options but I was pretty disappointed in their safe food handling.
It's a relief to go here, though you pay a bit more, that's no surprise. Every been several times and have always been served by the chef or very particularly by a lead server. More recently they offer a roll, which I appreciate. Pasta is great, salmon was good (a bit of an odd combo - squash, pesto, salmon), burger (yum), tried their carrot cake - they didn't let this thaw properly, it was 'ok' - a bit to sugary like some GF stuff tends to be. I don't recall getting sick, but I did have a rough morning after my most recent visit, can't be sure it was NYAJ's. I'll definitely be back there.
Twice now, I’ve been served gluten at this location. First, a burger with a gluten roll (make sure your roll has small pieces of onion, which is the GF version) and second I suspect was the pasta in the pasta al for no. Either the pasta wasn’t GF or it was cooked in the standard pasta water. They have GF options but I think they can be sloppy on the follow through. Days of suffering result!
I have never seen such a large gluten free menu offered at a restaurant before. You just have to ask for the separate menu. They even offered gluten free dinner rolls that were soft and delicious! Everyone at my table actually liked them better then the regular rolls. Waitress even gave me my separate dipping oil without me having to ask, didn't have to ask for the gf rolls either! I had a burger on a gf bun (same bread as dinner rolls) with a side of mashed potatoes. Did not get sick at all. Our waitress was awesome and was very knowledgeable. When she brought food to the table that was not gluten free (for the others with me) she made sure I knew that it was not gf. It's the little things like this that makes eating out for someone like me enjoyable again!! Thank you! Very impressed!!
Not only is the gluten free menu amazing but the servers are ALL knowledgeable about celiac and extremely helpful. We love eating here and have never had a bad experience!
staff is very knowledgeable! they're gf food is amazing! I always feel safe and full after! no anxiety or belly issues! love nyaj's! they're the best!
Great selection of food! Staff was extremely attentive! The bread and dip to start the meal! Amazing!
Good food with no issues
Our waitress Ashley was so attentive and nice. Totally ask for her! The GF rolls were amazing! No joke amazing! And the GF menu had a lot of options. I got the chicken caprese it was phenomenal. There was so much of it I took half of it home for dinner!
Every time we eat here they manage to screw up our order. I know it's hard to be picky but if you're going to bother with it, at least eat there rather than get takeout; you may end up waiting a half an hour but at least they can fix their mistake if they make one (they will). Whether or not the new dish is any good is a crap shoot.
