I was so pleased with pelican marking on menu for gluten free Cathy our server said tell me again after drink order so we can avoid cross contamination. Just hearing those words made me happy. I had the best shrimp and grits in my life but I would have loved to have had several other Options on menu. And so pleased my order was delivered separately. They know their stuff apparently owner/family celiac. 5 stars for amazing food and so safe

Staff knowledgeable about gluten free food. Menu is clearly marked with a pelican for gluten free items. I got the gluten free crab cakes they were amazing, mashed potatoes, toasted gluten free hamburger bun for bread. Table was set beautifully. We sat in the covered patio which is beautiful and better for you if your noise sensitive as inside the restaurant was loud with very little people in it. Staff was very friendly and promptly waiting our table. Definitely come back.

Love this restaurant, BEST! shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! I’m gluten-sensitive, not celiac, but have never had any problems and their menu has been marked with gluten free every time I’ve been there for the last several years. Can’t speak to cross-contamination as that usually doesn’t bother me.

Best GF lobster bisque ever! Also had a salad topped with fresh shrimp with a GF house made hazelnut dressing! Waitress was knowledgeable & said that they take allergies seriously & she was required to let her manager & the chef know about my order! There are several other yummie sounding GF items marked on the menu! Will try shrimp & grits next time!

Great restaurant and fabulous dining experience.
Staff and kitchen were attentive and were able to modify several things for me. Bacon wrapped scallops were delicious. The crab cakes were GF and I had those; they were worth a try bit I probably would order something different the next time I come.

We have ate at Oliver's three times on vacation. Several items to choose from. I have celiac disease and neither time did I feel bad or sick. I don't eat seafood for I can't speak for those items.
Lobster bisque and shrimp & grits were excellent. Beautiful view too!

Good experience. Proper awareness of gluten free and cross contamination. The steak wasn’t very good, not properly seared. The smashed potatoes were delicious! As well as the gluten free chocolate torte cake.

Lots of GF options and are clearly marked on the menu! I had Lobster Bisque which was SO GOOD! I also had crab cakes that were wonderful. It only came with 1 side which for the price it could have come with another. Definitely pricy but so is everything else these days.
They brought my food out separately and even stated “celiac”. I definitely recommend!

Very delicious meal. When my gluten free entree was brought out, I asked if it was celiac safe. They went to the kitchen to confirm that it had been prepared using their celiac safe regimen. Felt very safe, and made me feel like a “normal” person eating at a restaurant.

I’ve eaten here many times. The good is delicious, but have had issues with cross contamination and getting sick. The third time it happened I haven’t been back. I say once every 4 visits I got sick. It was difficult to deny the third time. It’s my understanding the owner who was passionate about the place being gf passed away a few years ago, and speculate the kitchen has gotten sloppy in his absence. It’s disappointing because I think they have the best shrimp & grits in the area.

Although this lovely restaurant is short on staff, as is our nation these days, our waiter was calm, patient, and attentive. The meal I chose was recommended on this site by past patrons. The Lobster bisque was rich and flavorful, with a lot of lobster. Delicious! The shrimp and grits was also very tasty. It was hard to finish the meal. It was very rich.

This is the second time I have eaten at this restaurant, and both times have been great. Their menu is labeled with pelicans to indicate the item(s) can be made GF. The Shrimp and Grits are divine, as is the Maine Lobster Bisque. The staff are very knowledgeable and take great care of me, oh and they have GF bread!!!

Waitress said the owner has celiac. Great view, and I did not get sick!

The food was great and labeled for gf. There were many salad options and only one option for a dinner. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a cup of soup. The lobster soup was the best I’ve ever had. Wish they had more options because what I had was awesome.
Great options and knowledgeable staff. Just look for the pelican on the menu!

Decent amount of gf offerings. Salad was delicious, but they were out of oysters so I didn’t get to try any of those gf options.
Wait staff were very aware of celiac requirements. Menu clearly marked for gluten friendly (little pelican icon) choices. Service was excellent.

I have never been to a restaurant with so many gluten free options. I am allergic to gluten and the staff was really knowledgeable about what I could eat and what I could drink. I had the shrimp and grits and a few bites of the crab cake. Both were really good!

Amazing restaurant. The owner has Celiac Disease and has made sure his staff is knowledgeable. Many of the menu items are marked GF and are only made gluten free. We had the crab cakes and Ahi Tuna. Absolutely amazing!
