My son that has celiac was able to get the pulled pork. There aren't as many GF items as other restaurants, but the food was yummy!

The Gluten Free menu is not clear on the items that are gluten free. Very few gluten free items. The manager and waitress were very nice and offered me something else but their menu is limited. This was the on Hilton Head.

Our waitress wasn’t sure about gf options so I asked her to check in the back. She then came out with a menu just for me. I ordered the pulled pork, slaw, and green beans. The pork and slaw were delicious! The green beans were dry and didn’t have any flavor.

I went to the Bluffton location tonight. All I can say is WOW! Absolutely delicious. The server was excellent and took my allergy very serious. My food came out first and the kitchen made every effort to make sure that there was no cross contamination. I had the pulled pork platter with broccoli and coke slaw. I also had a side salad without the wontons and cornbread. I really enjoyed my meal!!

I double checked with our waitress that my dish was gluten free and she seemed knowledgeable about what dishes/items might be problematic or cross-contaminated. When my good came, it had cornbread on the plate, which I’d thought she said had gluten in it. I didn’t eat it and didn’t let any other food I ate touch where it had been, but I still had a gluten reaction to the food here. Also, my husband and daughter who have no problems with gluten got sick from the food. It was tasty but not worth it unfortunately

Food and server was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and helped quite a bit. The menu, was a HOT mess. Hard to understand the GF labels and how to modify items. So again, very grateful for the knowledgeable server! Food was fantastic after modifications

Had the bbq chicken with mashed potatoes (they’re gluten free with no gravy) it was some of the best bbq I’ve ever had.

The had a gluten free menu for the sides and salads but just about all meats and sauces were GF (except the fried wings and French fries). Had brisket lunch special and it was a lot of food! Pretty good too! My husband (not gf) had the chili and Asian wings. His response was he would come back every day for the chili. They were very good about Keri g mine separated and not including the cornbread. Did not get sick.

Had the brisket with the tomato based bbq sauce. It was very tasty. A little limited on the choice of sides. Had the slaw and watermelon. Nice patio seating. Service was a little slow but overall a good meal.

Ate here for lunch. Requested a GF menu and the hostess said the server would have to help me with that. The menus are clearly marked with GF, so not sure why she didn't know how they operate. Son who is not GF got a platter with brisket, ribs and BBQ. He said brisket was the best because it was tender and didn't need sauce. Daughter is GF and she ordered BBQ chicken with fries and baked beans. Chicken smelled and looked amazing. Beans were a little spicy. I ordered the BBQ nachos. I was told they were out of shredded chicken but could do pork. It came out with the chicken! Once I pointed it out to the server she brought me the pork on a plate and it was much more flavorful than the chicken. Service was great at the beginning but I felt like once we were given our food we were forgotten. No drink refills as a result. Food was pretty good but I think I'd try something different next time.
2nd time eating here while on vacation. Ordered online... waited for over an hour for my food.... when I finally got my food, there was a big ‘ol hunk of cornbread sitting right on top of my food. I even put in big bold letters when I ordered “GLUTEN ALLERGY”...
Good BBQ with pretty much all meat because my GF.
If you eat meat this place is very accommodating for GF. If you only eat fish like I do, the menu is very limited but the server was fantastic and made such I had a nice meal with lots of sides. All in all great atmosphere and a great place for BBQ!
Celiac friendly. The best BBQ I've had (and I've had a lot of BBQ). Brisket and pulled pork were tender and mouth watering. Wings were really smokey and meaty. Slaw was very good and the baked beans were smokey and flavorful. Definitely returning.
Yes
Awesome gf bbq. Fast paced and staff friendly. Food came with cornbread so make a point to tell them
Had the 8.99 meat and 3 sides lunch. Pulled Pork with baked beans, steamed broccoli and cole slaw. Cole slaw was watery, beans were ok. Meat was very good. My daughter had the gf kids wings with garlic Parmesan. My mom had the brisket.
Yes
I want a huge fan of their bbq sauce. However the pulled pork was excellent! I wouldn't say this place is celiac friendly (my plate came out with cornbread even after I told them about my allergy) but the waitress was super sweet and had the kitchen remake everything
No
Talked to waiter about celiacs and how sensitive I was and was assured things would be done to avoid getting sick. Half of the sauces on the gf menu contained gluten after asking for them to double check and my salad came out with croutons. Ended up getting sick despite having them make a new salad and having them make my meal without the sauce.

Food was amazing. All 6 of us cleared our plates and all had different entrees: pulled pork, beef brisket, salad, wings, hamburger, hubs eats gluten fried onion rings sandwich. We will be coming back. Service was amazing as well. Prices were very reasonable. Menu was labled for GF options. No dedicated fryer but we no longer react to foods that share a fryer.
Yes
Spoke with manager on the phone beforehand. She is familiar with celiac disease and assured me they do everything they can to limit CC with separate utensils and prep space. Be sure to tell server you are celiac so they're extra careful. Food was delicious! I got baby back ribs , green beans with almonds, and dirty rice minus the gravy. I want to come here again before I leave Hilton Head
Yes
Loved it. Would go back again.
The waiter and manager were very helpful and kind. Ribs were really good! I did notice that the salad listed gluten free had blue cheese and the salmon had soy something in the description, so I stayed away from those items.
My teenage daughter is Celiac and had no reaction from the salad ordered. Our server confirmed the cross contamination practice at the restaurant.
Yes
They seem to be just going through the motions without caring about the results. The waiter did not understand what gluten was and didn't want to learn. After telling the waiter that my wife had celiac, he couldn't answer if any of the salad dressing were gf even though the menu said the salad was gf. When the salad arrived, a wheat bun was on the plate. When we sent it back, the plate came back in seconds so we're sure they simply took the bun off without worrying about cross-contamination.

Great and clearly marked menu. Waitress, Tiffany, understood Celiac Disease and offered suggestions. The ribs were fantastic. Spoke with the manager. Told me they follow a kitchen protocol requiring the server to wash their hands before handling any GF food and dishes. Worth a meal or two if you have Celiac Disease. Bonus - prices are very reasonable!
Yes
Hickory sauce excellent! alot of food for price! baby back ribs fall off the bones. angry orchard on tap!. get there for happy hour to try the rib tips. collard greens are the best!

Menu is clearly marked with gfree options...lots if gluten free options. Very knowledgable staff too. Everything we had was delicious!
Yes
Hamburgers are not GF because they toast the buns on the same grill.
No
We had a very nice experience yesterday. All gf items on the menu are clearly marked and there are some items that can be made gf that are not marked. Their BBQ sauce is gf so that broadens the choices vs a typical restaurant menu. Our server was very knowledgeable and the person who brought my food told me he has washed his hands before touching my plate. We will definitely be back!
Yes
Gluten free and delicious! Our waiter, Shane was very knowledgable as to what I could order. The ribs, green beens with almonds and baked potato was fabulous! I highly recommend!!
Yes
It was fantastic food! Ribs are insanely tender. Be careful tho and speak to a manager-as u always should, to make sure the kitchen is on the up and up GF wise! Sent out fried wings initially (which aren't GF) we caught it in time! Great outdoor patio! Will be back 4 sure!
Yes
Delicious food and GF labeling was very clear. Lots of great options!
Not many GF options. Ended up with a plain chicken breast. No GF desserts.
Excellent barbecue, GF items marked on the menu. So good that our group went back for dinner again two nights later. We went later in the evening, so having to wait wasn't an issue.
Yes
Go early or the wait will be long! Excellent ribs!
For GF only expect barbecue. It is good, but waitress said the meats are all cooked together, risk of cross contamination. Also out of Red Bridge. We went really early, around 4:30 to beat the crowd. My family with no gluten issues loved it though.
Delicious barbecue! All of their barbecue is gluten free so that made it easy. We went on a week night at 5:30 ad had to wait 20 minutes. They get crowded but are pretty quick at service. The menu is labeled with gluten free items except for the side dishes, but the server was knowledgeable about the sides. We got the family platter for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) and it was more than enough. Great prices too.
Great ribs and brisket. It was a treat to have something other than a bland steak or seafood. Will definitely go there again.
Amazing BBQ! Great service, friendly employees!!! A must if you are in Hilton Head!!
Picked dinner up here late last night after a long drive from nj. Large selection of items for those with celiacs. The rib tips and wings were delicious. This restaurant is extremely accommodating to all allergies.
Monday night football – we had to go somewhere that had the game on! Typically sports bars are the last place you want to go if you have celiac. Tons of fried foods! I will say this place had several good options. I ended up with the beef brisket salad. Ahhmazing. The beef brisket was so tender and the meat was flavored nicely. No fatty pieces on the meet and the salad lettuce was fresh. They also said their wings were gluten free, which means they must cook them in a separate fryer than the regular fried foods. Highly recommended for a cheap bite to eat in Hilton Head! Aaron had tacos and really enjoyed them as well.
