*Note* only the Gluten items are marked on the menu - if there is no marking next to a menu item it is GF. The server at the entrance walked me through the menu for my takeout order. He was very nice and patient. He explained that they had procedures to avoid cross contamination. I ordered a “build your own “ with the coconut rice, fresh salmon, grilled octopus, hearts of palm, marinated bamboo, beets, fried onions and seaweed. I am intolerant to soy so the only sauce I could have was the spicy Mayo. He double checked that all my choices were gf. I was surprised that the fried onions were okay but it is just onions and oil. Overall it was delicious. Everything I chose tasted good together. The only things I didn’t like were the grilled octopus - way too chewy, and the marinated bamboo which was hard to eat because it was so fibrous. The salmon was amazingly fresh. It was actually too much food for one sitting. I will definitely return.

Amazing food. Owner is super knowledgeable about celiac and has created the menu to be celiac friendly.

Beware of the menu! Although the menu contains items with the familiar GF icon presumably to indicate what is gluten free, the icon is actually to show what contains gluten (there’s a cross through the GF!) - which is the opposite of most restaurants. The menu did not contain a legend to clarify what the symbol meant. When ordering by phone I made sure to point out that I must eat gluten free, and asked if the thing I ordered is in fact gluten free. The person I talked to seemed a bit confused ( I should have paid more attention to that) and said sure, if the menu says it is. When picking up the order we again talked about gluten free items. It was only after I had a big mouthful that it was clear that my noodles are made of wheat. I phoned back the resto and asked for clarification on their menu description. This person was much more knowledgeable about the menu and explained that they decided to mark gluten containing items because it was simpler. I’m deeply unimpressed ( and thoroughly glutened!)

I spoke with the owner and he was very knowledgeable about what was safe and what was not. There were only a couple of options on the menu that I couldn’t have. All dressings with soy used Tamari. There was even someone eating there at the same time who was also celiac. The food was delicious and atmosphere was charming.
