Ordering is done at a kiosk electronically. Perhaps I’m an idiot, but I did not find it as clearly marked and user-friendly as others. I also am reading reviews about ordering chicken and other meat options that are supposedly safe. Please beware- none are certified GF, and, after being provided a partial ingredient list, the usual suspects of “spices” and “natural flavors” abound. You can’t speak to anyone except a cashier who handed us an allergy book with photocopies of nutritional labels of some, but not all, ingredients. The only thing that was pretty clearly labeled as GF was a hamburger and fries. Also there’s a brownie and cookie. Anything else, and you’re sorting through the green binder of ingredients. Once you’re at the kiosk, you’re ordering and holding up the line while trying to feverishly locate ingredients. While trying to find a salad dressing listing, some teens behind us were laughing and making fun of me, then eventually it became pretty ugly with one saying, “Just push a f***ing button already.” I turned around and he said “Oh, I was just kidding.” But the damage was done. I know he’s a kid, but the thing is, he said what everyone else was probably thinking- hurry up. I got out of line and my husband ordered fries for us since they are supposedly GF and prepared safely. Please understand that I know dining out is always a calculated risk, but I also am disappointed to see places like this equate GF with Celiac-safe or to list items as GF that are not. After eating a few soggy fries, I spent some quality time in the restroom. So, in fairness, my rating isn’t really entirely be about the food, mostly my experience. However, I felt people should know what they are walking in to. So, just be forewarned. And maybe save yourself some time and embarrassment by either just accepting the hamburger and fries or asking straight away for the incomplete green binder. And, whatever you do order, please know that this goes beyond the typical risk of cross-contamination- it is straight-up misleading, and communication that Celiacs rely on is stripped from customers and hasty ordering and efficiency being a priority is implied. I mean, I can even flag my app-based order at chick fila as “allergy”- no way to do that here!
