I had the vegetable hibachi. It was good with a huge portion. I did not get sick, which is the most important thing.

The waitress we had didn’t know what Celiac was, but she knew gluten free and said everything would be cooked separately. Not the best Japanese food I’ve ever had, but I didn’t get sick, and that’s the most important thing! Huge portions, so you may want to split a main or Hibachi dish. They also have Titos. Great for big groups and you can also dine outside, inside or at the hibachi grill/table.

Gluten free soy sauce available
Had hibachi here last night and was a little underwhelmed based on previous reviews about them having GF. Yes- they have GF San-J Soy sauce on hand but the hibachi chefs aren’t super knowledgeable about how to make the meal safe for a celiac. If you’ve been to hibachi before, you know they cook the food in stages The rice, veggies, and then the meat. As he was cooking the rice the chef portioned out my rice, added the GF soy sauce and then served it to me. He was about to cover the rest in regular soy sauce before my family (thankfully we didn’t have any strangers at our table) told him to stop and just make the whole thing with the GF soy sauce. He was VERY confused by this idea. Thankfully my family understands- the regular soy sauce would have contaminated the grill and spatula he was using. He made the veggies and chicken with the GF soy sauce too and after serving my chicken- added teriyaki sauce for everyone else. It would be a LOT easier if they also had GF teriyaki sauce so they could TRULY make the whole meal GF for you. We did feel that the hibachi chef was offended by our instructions but he was really not prepared to make the meal with a GF person at the table. Im celiac and I didn’t get sick but be careful and specific with your needs when you go because they need to be coached !!
I have had sushi here 3 times over a few years and it is always delicious and I have never gotten sick (I have to avoid a number of allergens in addition to gluten so I can be pretty tough to cook for.)
