As of 08/05/13 staff does not seem to understand the true meaning of "gluten free". I have tried the chicken caesar twice, and both times were cross contaminated. Not being a full blown celiac I am not as concerned about CC ... but know how big of a deal this is for others.

I stressed that I was GF, and said no croutons!!! (would you grill something on a grill that had traces of peanut oil if someone had a peanut allergy? Or use the same gloves? The same tongs? Put peanuts on their food? I don't think so. I wish people realized it's the same...and just because you do not go into anaphylactic shock right then and there that it does not mean its not a "legit" reaction. Anyways ....point is, It came with croutons. I realized only after I got home, (should have checked!) like I said though, not a huge deal for me personally..... but come on. Also, when she brought it out to the car she seemed confused and asked if it was "okay that she didn't put bread in the bag?" Again, just shows she had no idea. Unfortunate.

Second time there were several bites I took with strong hints of blue cheese. Not a gluten free dressing.

Bummer. Belonging to a chain that boasts such a GF friendly, and extensive menu, I feel like staff should be better educated on gluten allergies and the importance of CC.

An extra star added for great taste though! Other outbacks get rave reviews and seem to be more knowledgable then the staff at this location. I plan to speak to a manager because staff can not correct an issue if they are not even aware it's an issue to begin with. Hopefully they are understanding about it and correct it. it would be a shame for someone else to have a full blown reaction due to something that could have easily been avoided! Or for anyone to have to miss out on something as delicious as this!
