My son has Celiacs disease, and we stopped here on the way to LA. He had the bbq chicken and it was definitely gluten free. They were very honest and understanding. Gluten free menu is nice size.

Went there while on a road trip. Was not offered GF menu even after I told them that I had celiac and needed gluten free meal. Waiter made appropriate suggestions and seemed somewhat knowledgeable. Suggested no seasoning on green beans and meat on wood fired grill. I asked for my baked potato to not be cut open and for butter to be from an unused container. The steak came out essentially rare and had to be sent back, the potato came out cut and had to be sent back for a new one and the condiments came out with all of the fixings for the backed potato so I just ate the backed potato plain. At the end of the meal, the waiter told me that they had a gluten free menu that I could look at for desert. I wish that he would have told me that they had the menu at the beginning of the meal. I say that they are celiac friendly because they did seem somewhat knowledgeable but I would bet that it is hit or miss here from my experience so I would use extra caution.

Recently visited this location. I told the server I was ordering from the gluten free menu and further specified my order (no croutons on my salad, etc.) Just to be safe. Everything for me came out cross contaminated. I didn't have confidence the server was educated about gluten free needs; and I especially wasn't confident eating my food thereafter.
I didn't get sick, but I was scared about what was served to me. Granted, after speaking up to a different server, my order(s) we're corrected by another employee.
This was my first experience eating at Outback, which I had heard had a pretty decent GF menu; but I don't think I'll be back to this location, personally.

Waitress was clueless about gluten free. She brought bread to the table and put it down right in front of me. And then my Brisbane Caesar Salad came out without dressing and … wait for it … RAW SHRIMP. Not impressed. Not sure that I’ll ever go back to this restaurant.

We tried to eat here one night after my wife was diagnosed with Celiac's. Ordered off their "gluten-free" menu, and her shrimp was served on top of a piece of bread.
