I go to this Outback often. They have a gluten-free menu. Wait staff are very friendly and helpful. They have the best gluten-free dessert called "Tunder from Down Under"! I don't think they have a dedicated fryer for fries but there are other sides that are good. I highly recommend. You need to ask for the gluten-free menu.
The server was very knowledgeable and checked about ingredients when she wasn't sure. Almost full menu. Even dessert! Note: she said prime rib isn't on the gluten free menu because of the au jus. You can still order it if you skip that.
Very knowledgeable server- he even knew or went to check ingredients to make sure my food had no dairy, either. There are a lot of options that are gluten free, and my food was served separate from the groups'. I did not get sick, and I plan to come back again.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was a gluten free menu which clearly marked what was safe for me to eat. I was also excited about the gluten free chocolate brownie dessert and it did not disappoint. Service was great, but most of the food had way too much butter and was soggy.
I thought I loved Outback Steakhouse for their wonderful *blooming onion*, but now I adore them for putting the effort into having a specific GF menu available to help make your dining experience more accommodating!
Although the blooming onion is not at all GF (sigh) they have many other tasty items available to choose from.
Side note: Might I recommend you try their blue cheese vinaigrette next time you order a salad. No, it tastes nothing like blue cheese (as I’m not typically a fan of that flavor). Yes? it’s GF :)
I’ve been to at least 50 Outbacks all over the country and they are always safe and so celiac friendly!
