Review of OvenBird

When I asked about GF, the waitress borrowed my menu and returned it with all of the GF items highlighted, although in several instances a non-GF item had to be crossed out. She was also very knowledgeable— for example, the grits were deemed non-GF because they were made in a factory that produced wheat and thus they couldn’t guarantee absence of cross-contamination. My only criticism, and I almost gave it four stars, was there did not seem to be a willingness to substitute out non-GF items.

Overall, safe place. Food was very good and has unique offerings.
