My experience here was ...comical! TL/DR: the food was good and I didn't get glutened! But man, the cashier seemed about 420 puffs deep into his day.
The bad:
- At one point Stoney McBlaze said, "Yeah if you have celiac or whatever that thing is called we can do that." I told him he wasn't making me feel confident in his ability to avoid cross contamination - tbh I'm surprised I went through with the meal.
- Nothing was labeled in our to-go bag so we did our best to pick which wraps were teff flour (GF) and which were flour (the flour one had a red hue).
- Their online menu is different from the menu they have in store (not everything, but a few variations). No big shareable appetizers, and the hummus we got with GF bread was super disappointing (the bread was just basic Udi's or something of the sort). My dude suggested soup as an appetizer.
The good:
- When I went to pick up the food my high guy was VERY inquisitive about what it means to have celiac! Asked a ton of questions, and knew the severity.
- He talked me through their process of cleaning surfaces before using them for the GF stuff.
Would I go back? Maybe if I was on his level, but probably not...
