What initially appeared to be a terrible description turned out to be an amazing surprise. The active charcoal Belgian waffle is not only gluten-free, but is also dairy free. My wife is also allergic to dairy and said this is one of the best waffles she can remember. Everything is clearly marked gluten-free and there are lots of options. Important note: this is the Parakeet Café. The Parakeet Juicery is a few doors away.

WE ACCIDENTALLY WENT TO THE JUICERY BUT IT WAS STILL GOODđ

There were so many gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu and on the baked goods display case, although there were scones with gluten beside the gluten free scones.
The food was tasty and the coffee was decent.

Always has a great selection of muffins, scones, zucchini bread, and now they have a brownie too! The gf pastries are in the same display case as the non gf ones, so I’d be wary depending on how sensitive you are, but I’ve never gotten sick!

Went there to get the waffle, when I got there I asked them to double check that they had two waffle makers and they said there was only one waffle maker back there. So I could not order the waffle. After explaining to the staff what cross contamination means, they were pretty confused about what I could eat and ended up giving me one option: the green eggs with GF bread.
The Green eggs were delicious and I did not get sick.

So much of the pastries in their case marked gluten free and we tried 5 that were all so good! The cacao gf waffle was delicious. They told me they take good precautions but can’t guarantee the kitchen to be gf (small space I guess) but the girl told me that her mom is a sensitive celiac and never had a problem there. My son is pretty sensitive and we ate there twice and had no issues and some gorgeous breakfast food!

Food is good. Coffees and teas are safe. I had the parakeet bowl and told them about my allergy and had no issues. However, the pastries are not celiac safe. They’ve got a pretty good chance of cross contamination and I got very sick after having a GF muffin from here.

Best gluten free selections I have ever seen
Great staff. Amazing eggs and salmon with GLUTEN FREE bread and a GLUTEN FREE snickerdoodle!!!!! I want to go back.
They have super yummy pastries, my favorite is the lavender shortbread thingy. The scones are bomb too! It’s usually pretty busy when I’m there, so I haven’t tried any of the GF entrees.
I went here for breakfast and was really impressed. They have a variety of gluten free breakfast options, including toast, waffles, and pastries. I had the cocao waffles with an iced vanilla latte and it was very delicious. All of the coffee syrups are homemade and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast!
Yes
I spoke with the owner, and she explained that since they have such a small kitchen and do not have a designated gluten free area, they would not be able to safely avoid cross contamination. I greatly appreciated her honesty.
No
we had breakfast here and it was amazing! fresh waffle, fruit, even gf toast. I also too a cookie to go and it was the best I've ever had! double chocolate! !
They have a GF menu but be sure to talk to the staff about food prep. They were very knowledgeable and consulted the chef when needed. I ended up with an egg white scramble that was delicious. They used a dedicated GF waffle iron to toast my GF bread because the toaster could contaminate it.
