Review of Pei Wei

My husband and I were going to this location for a while and the staff were super kind and helpful. Even the guys who cook waved when we came in because they knew us :) They always made my fried rice with gluten free soy sauce but when we went one day, the girl at the counter said they couldn’t anymore because the manager said “No” I asked to speak to the manager and she came right out and said they can make me rice and give me a packet of gluten free soy sauce to stir it in myself due to “corporate not wanting them to waste time opening each small packet for customers with special requests while it’s busy and risk backing up the other customers orders” When she said this I looked around and we were the only ones in line and about 5 others who were in the restaurant eating already. She said they can “do me a favor this one time” but no longer. I guess so much for customer service. Sad because the actual staff was great and the food always great, but this nasty manager ruined it. By the way, every other Pei Wei in Jacksonville has never had a problem making me fried rice with gluten free soy sauce and has always taken the extra time to open the little packets no matter how many other people there were :) Continuing to love Pei Wei....just NOT this location due to the nasty manager
