Overall I wouldn’t recommend, waited over an hour and a half just for the food. The food didn’t come out together due to items being forgotten (and the restaurant was not busy). Also after eating our whole group feels sick(all allergic to gluten) for the price and service it is completely not worth it.

Yuck. Yes, this place has gluten free options, but the food was terrible. Everything tasted like it had been sitting for 3 days. The bbq tasted like it came out of a can. We spent $100 for a family of 4 and left feeling sick and ripped off. We all would have preferred a granola bar for dinner. Gross.

OMG, this place is amazing!! Me and some family went into this restaurant we've never been to...now I am in love with this place. They are so accommodating with celiacs (probably because the owner has it! Makes me feel not so alone) The food tastes soooooo good. I couldn't tell a difference with the noodles or anything! The only things you have to ask to be GF is buns and Mac n Cheese...but there isn't any difference in texture or anything. The sauces are amazing. Chicken, potatoes, sauces, buns, pulled pork, brisket, everything is AMAZING! This smokehouse was a 10/10, or even more. The service is what really makes this place. They were so nice and tried to make it a great visit, they made me laugh and were very friendly. They were very knowledgeable about gluten-free items and knew exactly what to do which made me feel safe. But anyone needs to come here, GF or not. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!

Almost everything is available gluten free and they also have a dedicated fryer which is very helpful for someone who has celiac. My husband who has celiac was able to try cheese curds, fried pickles, and homemade pork rinds. They even had gf cavatappi pasta for the Mac and cheese with gf beer cheese. Our son had the fried chicken sandwich which was very good. It was tossed with garlic herb sauce and served with pickles. The Mac and cheese could have used just a little more seasoning/salt. My husband had the half rack of ribs with bacon baked beans and potato salad. The only downside was the ribs were pretty dry. The waiter was very attentive.

Sadly, I got sick from eating at Pensacola Smokehouse yesterday (1/13/24). We had the Meat Sweats platter with 2x fries and 2x mac-n-cheese as the sides. I explained that I was a celiac/severe gluten allergy and confirmed all items were GF when they arrived. Still, I was violently ill last night. I have eaten here a few times in the past with no issues, but won't trust this restaurant again.

We drive from Texas to Florida a lot and always make a stop at the Pensacola Smokehouse. The food is delicious, the staff is knowledgeable, and they have a ton of gf options, including *amazing* mac and cheese for the kids.
However, cross contamination is still a possibility. I am *highly* sensitive, and I have had some reactions to eating there (full body inflammation, joint pain, gi upset). My reactions have been minor, which is consistent (for me) with a small cross contamination.
This is still an awesome place, and I will continue to eat there. It is still light years better than most restaurants, especially when traveling. ... Just be aware that it is not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. It's even possible that I got cross contaminated from drinking water out of a glass that is usually used for "real" beer. (I'm going to try to order my water in a to-go cup next time.)

Did not make my wife sick!!! The ENTIRE restaurant is gf. The server was super nice and knowledgeable about gluten. She also told us that the owner of the restaurant has celiac. My wife said her pulled pork sandwich was soooo good. And the smash burger might be the best burger I’ve ever had in my life (try it with the BBQ sauce). Their fryer is dedicated gf so the fries are safe! :) Enjoy!!

From the restaurant owner: they only carry gf flours and their fryers are gf products only! I ordered their Mac & cheese bowl with pork bbq (they also offer brisket) and the fried pickles and they were both DELICIOUS!!! My non-gf husband even loved both of them and the portions were very generous.
