We drive from Texas to Florida a lot and always make a stop at the Pensacola Smokehouse. The food is delicious, the staff is knowledgeable, and they have a ton of gf options, including *amazing* mac and cheese for the kids.
However, cross contamination is still a possibility. I am *highly* sensitive, and I have had some reactions to eating there (full body inflammation, joint pain, gi upset). My reactions have been minor, which is consistent (for me) with a small cross contamination.
This is still an awesome place, and I will continue to eat there. It is still light years better than most restaurants, especially when traveling. ... Just be aware that it is not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. It's even possible that I got cross contaminated from drinking water out of a glass that is usually used for "real" beer. (I'm going to try to order my water in a to-go cup next time.)
