We drove 15mins out of the city to visit Petit by Sam, excited to visit a cafe whose raisin d’être is to provide people with allergies a place to eat. However, this cafe is completely unsuitable for coeliacs. The GF items are marked “Gluten free with traces” and sit next to non GF items on the counter. It’s incredibly disappointing. Thankfully, the coffee was good.

Mostly a coffee and cake spot but they do have a (very) few options for breakfast and lunch. Dessert is the main event though! With their own signature mini cakes. I had a good goat cheese tosti and very yummy orange mini cake.
They are not fully gluten-free so they cannot guarantee no cross-contamination. But they do have good protocols. For instance, separate (labelled) toaster and preparation area. I did not notice any pain or discomfort from eating here and I am reasonably sensitive.
