Review of Petunia's Pies & Pastries

What a treat having an entire restaurant GF!! The store is gorgeous, decor is fun, and display case is jaw-dropping. Had the pesto, tomato, cheese grilled sandwich & husband had spinach lasagne. Both were amazing although my husband thought the sandwich was a tad oily. Then we ordered dessert (had some there and took some to-go) pumpkin donut, coconut-chocolate cake, chocolate peanut butter pie, pumpkin cheesecake, and apple pie. Chocolate peanut butter pie was the best followed by donut. For GF/vegan it's good, but with a few tweaks it could be awesome. Ingredients taste fresh and good quality. With GF, it's generally better to add more spice, more vanilla, more chocolate, more flavor to help mask flours that have a "watery" flavor. It's not the best GF/vegan treats we've had, but it was good. Oh, and would be good if staff laundered their uniforms and aprons more regularly. They looked like dirty girls fresh out of the pig pen.
