Food was excellent and safe. My kids have Celiac. My son had raviolis which was delicious. Daughter had pizza which she also liked. they have a two page menu only thing is make reservations. We didn’t so we were able to do take out. Two pages of gluten free menu and desserts
Amazing find!! GIG trained and very knowledgeable about our multiple dietary restrictions. Brought out gf bread to the table!!!! One of the best gluten free dining experiences I have had. Food was authentically Italian and delicious. All gluten free food came out with a piece of paper noting that it was gluten free.
What a great experience! We were in Hershey for the day and used this app to find a place for dinner. We ate there last night, 9/15/18. The menu gives you so many wonderful choices it was hard to make up my mind. In front of the GF menu they explain their certification from the International Gluten Intolerance Group. The waitress was amazing at explaining the food prep and that all GF food comes out with a label. She also said that she has had one time where the label fell off so that if it comes out without one, don’t eat it and she’ll get me a new plate. They brought out a sliced UDI’s hoagie roll first. It reminded me of crisp Italian bread. The salad was fresh and the balsamic dressing was amazing. I had the special, penne with an olive oil/ garlic/chili pepper/lime sauce with house made smoked salmon. It was heaven on a plate. I even had dessert, tiramisu which was fantastic. My husband who does not eat gf had the lasagna and is still raving about it. I highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
Our go to place for dinner while in Hershey! The staff is well trained in handling gluten allergies and the food is always delicious! Always look forward to traveling to Hershey just so we can go to this restaurant!
We gave this restaurant a 5 Star rating for many reasons and here a few of them. The atmosphere was very authentic Italian. The bar was nicely set in the front with regular seating on either side separated by walls which made conversation easier. There was a GF menu available and the waitress asked if we would like to see it before we did. There were so many choices I had a hard time making a selection. Not just spaghetti and sauce, but Alfredo, lasagna, primavera, etc. I’m never optimistic about how good a GF dish will be. I’ve had enough bad ones, but my meal was perfect! The pasta and sauce was how I remember it before I was GF. I had grilled chicken Alfredo. Pasta was tender and the sauce was creamy. The GF bread was served hot and soft. There were families in the restaurant and they seemed happy. This place had plenty of choices for non GF folks to. The portion I got was just right. I would recommend this restaurant as a safe place for Celiac. They served my meal with a label to avoid serving me the wrong food. I feel like they understand GF concerns and took measures to protect me from gluten exposure.
Staff really helpful and understand Celiacs.
Fully aware and accommodating for Celiac! Excellent service!
Huge GF menu with 9 different handmade GF desserts. Very allergy conscious and willing to accommodate. Hands down the best GF homemade bread I have ever had. So grateful for a restaurant that "gets it" because I'm allergic, so it is no joke
I love the lasagna. Of cource everything else is just as good
This place is great, their food is delicious and well knowledgeable about GF
Staff very knowledgeable, staff was very friendly and pizza was delicious! I highly recommend this place.
Manager came out and spoke to us about cross contamination. Pizza is cooked in same oven so I opted not to try it. Lasagne was delicious and tiramisu was yummy!
This place is great. Asked us right away about allergies. My daughter and I are celiac and have ALWAYS had a great experience here. Delicious. Lots of GF options. Don’t pass this place up!
Restaurant was very accommodating to my dietary needs (GF and DF). They were able to alter one of the gluten free dishes to make it dairy free as well. The dishes all come to your table with a note indicating it is Gluten Free. My dish was pretty tasty too!
I had 2 VERY DIFFERENT experiences. The restaurant side was amazing, helpful staff, clearly labeled menu, delicious food, they even put a little paper on your place that says "Gluten Free option". I had GF pizza, salad, bruschetta AND GF tiramisu, whatttt??? I felt totally find during and after my meal, no digestive issues (which we all know is the "true test" haha) The next day I went to the just pizza/subs side, which is the only thing open on Sundays. The staff was rude and unorganized. They acted annoyed by my GF choices. They brought out my chicken parm sub, and as I picked it up to take a bite, I noticed the bread was too "bready" (I know, not a term...) so I took it back to the counter. The staff again was rude and annoyed that I got the wrong thing and said "we'll bring the right one right out". They made it a little too quickly and after a few bites I felt sick. Not sure if the whole experience colored my meal, but either way I didn't eat the sub. Very sad that a place who promotes so many gluten free options and even has worked with a gluten free certification is not consistent across the board.
We stopped her for lunch on a Saturday while in the Hershey area. The hostess and waiter both asked about allergies up front. There were plenty of Gluten Free options with a dedicated gluten free menu. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer on GF bread. The bread wasn't toasted enough and ended up soggy from the bruschetta. Not enough flavor in the tomatoes either. I ordered the GF penne vodka and my daughter (with Celiac) ordered the GF cheese ravioli. The penne vodka was tasty but the GF pasta they used was corn-based. It was on the hard side - more than al-dente. The lunch portion was a bit small, especially since a salad was not included. My daughter's 4 ravioli was also on the small side. The sauce was a bit bland and the ravioli filling didn't have much flavor either. When we were ordering, we asked what the pasta was made of and our waiter informed us that none of the GF pasta was made in house and he could bring us the labels. I declined but should have taken him up on it to find out what brands to not bother buying again. When the waiter brought out our food, he had regular pizza and a dish with bread on the rim that was hanging over my daughter's ravioli plate. My plate should have had a GF label but it "blew off" on the way out. We were short on time so I made it seem like no big deal to my daughter but inside I desperately prayed no bread crumbs ended up in my daughter's food. Bottom line is my daughter didn't get sick but I don't know that I would go out of my way to eat here again.
The service was great. Very accommodating staff. Food was very delicious.
Hands down my favorite place to eat!!! Amazing staff and everything comes labeled! The crab dip is awesome and the tiramisu is to die for!
Everything I’ve had here is wonderful. Celiac knowledgeable. Great staff.
The whole place- all staff were extremely aware of allergies. They have their own separate gf menu that is the biggest I’ve ever seen. They have gf bread and crustinis. Everything was delicious and our server was wonderful- friendly, extremely attentive, positive, and knew every thing I could eat. I had crab cakes with mashed potatoes and asparagus, the baked crab dip with god crustinis, and the shrimp bisque. All of their gf plates come out with a gf paper slip. I’ve never felt safer to eat and truly enjoy my food. My new favorite. Loved the entire experience and meal. As did my parents who enjoyed their non gf meals immensely and shared my crab dip. So good!!!
Amazing! I went with two celiacs and they couldn’t have been happier. They brought fresh “baked” bread to table. GIANT gf menu. 7 desserts! Two homemade soups! Thank you so much Piazza Sorrento!
AMAZING! Highly recommend for celiac. They are super knowledgeable, they ask when you walk in if you want a gf menu or not, and a lot of their food is made from scratch. Delicious and celiac friendly. Not to mention that there is TONS of selection!
The staff is so accommodating and understanding about every the needs of people with celiac disease. Every gluten free dish comes out with a slip of paper marked gluten free and they told me that if it doesn't have that slip to ask her before consuming the food. They also have the most extensive gluten free menu I have ever encountered. The hostess asked if we needed a gluten free menu before I even requested one! That's how thorough and aware they are here. The food was delicious and I couldn't tell the difference between their gluten free ravioli and regular ravioli I used to eat. The gluten free eggplant appetizer was amazing as was the gluten free lava cake. The waitress we had is named Sharon and she was fabulous! If I could give it 10 stars I would!
We have been going here for the past 6 years!! It's our go to place when we are on vacation in Hershey!! The food is delicious & extremely Celiac friendly!!
best gluten free pizza ever! my son & I both have celiacs & had no reaction....
so happy to find such a gluten free friendly place when visiting nearby hershey park! both the host and the waitstaff immediately asked about food allergies/intolerance. there is a separate and lengthy gluten free menu full of sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and salads. Also very family friendly!
What a wonderful experience! My 9 year old daughter was so happy to see pages of GF options and the dessert menu was delish! Our server Shannon was wonderful and the owner was so kind and knew so much about certified GF!
Wonderful. Very knowledgeable about celiac.
Amazing! Tons of gluten free options and are all celiac friendly and taste great! The waiters are very knowledgeable. All the gluten free options come out with a tag saying gluten free! Definitely a top pick!!
Excellent food from a extensive GF MENU. GIG trained kitchens per their menu. Food allergy aware besides being Celiac Friendly . Highly recommend!
This was hands down the most gluten free friendly restaurant I have been to yet!! And the food was AMAZING!! I was so impressed when they brought me out gluten free bread and a separate plate of pepper to add oil to. And every plate they brought me had a little slip of paper indicating it was gluten free. This was the largest selection of gluten free on a menu AND multiple gluten free DESSERTS to choose from! I will definitely be back!!
Excellent GF pasta, pizza, bread. Separate GF menu. GF food comes to the table tagged.
Awesome! Lots of options for celiacs n all ate delicious! Waiters are all very knowledgeable and patient. Top pick! Will definitely be back!!!
Oh my gosh, you'll want to eat there everyday! Excellent service as well!
The waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac disease. This was fantastic very quiet had tons of gluten free options. All were delicious. Try petes special for salad dressing!!
Celiac heaven. Chicken Alfredo was absolutely phenomenal. Gluten free attention to every detail. I felt very comfortable eating here and was not afraid of being sick. Server was very educated in gluten free options. I will be back many many times. I would rate this restaurant 10 stars.
Good service. Clean place. Good food BUT not gluten free like advertised!
Awesome Gluten free menu and great prices. Super service
This place is just awesome for someone eating gluten free! They have gluten free bread, pastas, pizzas and many other options. They have several dessert options, including the amaaaaazing ricotta cake. I have always had an enjoyable experience and they are very careful with labeling and cross contamination issues.
I ate here twice (in the take-out area) while visiting from out of town. I was with a 2 year old both times, so we elected to stay in the take-out area rather than eat in the more formal sit-down restaurant. All the food was good, and all GF items come with a paper tag on the plate stating that it is a GF choice. They have more GF options than most places. The first time I ate a pizza, and it was very good. It was a thin, crispy crust, and better than most GF pizzas, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The second time I ate pasta and had the GF tiramisu for dessert. All were tasty.
Had GF bread, pasta and pizza. My daughter had the pizza which was very very good. I had a chicken parm sub and the GF bread was sensational. Had a lot of GF options for dessert as well. Very nice people.
Wonderful old-school italian food with scrupulous attention to allergen issues. A great place for a "mixed" group like ours (2 out of 4 have celiac). So hard to find a homey italian place with an extensive gluten free menu and such delicious food. The wait staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is next to a gas station!
Awesome food - great service. This place has the largest selection of gluten free foods that we have come across. My son was thrilled to be able to have warm bread, ravioli and tiramisu!!!! Very celiac friendly!!!
There is a large gf menu. The server asks if you need a gf menu and when my meal came out there was a gf tag on the plate. Very happy with this place!
My daughter loved her gluten free French bread slices and penne pasta. It's so rare to find an Italian place that serves gf bread when everyone else gets the regular rolls (which were delicious too). All of the food came labeled with a little paper as gluten free. The non gluten free food was delicious as well. Wish we had saved room to eat the gf desserts! Kid friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are in Hershey!
Includes Delicious gf pasta dishes and gf cream sauce. Staff is very knowledgable and cautious. My favorite is their chicken Alfredo.
Amazing experience. Staff is very knowledgeable and gf menu has so many options!
Full gluten free menu including homemade desserts. Very knowledgeable and bring your plates out labeled. Food is fantastic! Gluten free bread offered before meal. Restaurant certified by Gluten Intolerance Foundation.
Excellent meal...plenty of options and staff was very knowledgeable.
This only the 2nd review that I have ever written. After reading all of the positive reviews, I called to see if they had gf veal parm. I was told to hold while she checked. No. I then asked if they had gf chicken parm or spaghetti and meatballs. I was again told to hold while she checked. No. Gf French fries. No. "Knowledgable staff"?? I don't think so. My wife then made me hang up the phone. We will not risk eating where the staff is so unsure. I don't know how they got positive reviews. BTW. No regular pizza place can truly be gluten free. Flower is in the air and in everything that is made there. This is fine if you don't have a severe reaction to gluten. After 2 emergency surgeries we don't take risks.
