We got takeout. The food was all fabulous. I was most impressed that our gf food was labeled. Highly recommend the fettuccini Alfredo, and chicken piccata.

What a great find! Our son just moved to Hummelstown, and I am thrilled to discover this gem of a restaurant. We ate there twice in one week. I get very sick when exposed to gluten, and I was fine each time. Great staff, kind and well informed about gluten. This is my new to- go place.
Yes
I’ve gotten pizza from here twice. Both times, it was when coworkers were putting in a mass order. They ordered pizzas for them and a gluten free pizza for me. I had the white pizza (garlic sauce, etc.) and it was great. Excited to go back again and get some pasta and dessert.

Excellent experience! The waitress informed us they have a separate gf kitchen. My daughter loved the gf fettuccine Alfredo and the gf bread she brought for her to the table. Great experience.

Great food, wonderful service, celiac safe.
Yes
Delicious! GF is prepared in a separate part of the kitchen. Everything was fantastic from apps to entree to desserts!
My Second visit. Delicious safe food.
Yes
Excellent. At arrival, host asked if anyone in the party was GF. Upon seating, waitress requested if anyone had food allegeries. All before we had to say anything. Exceptionally accommodating.
GF menu is very extensive.

Great place to get awesome gluten free food! I enjoyed a cheeseburger sub and strawberry shortcake. Highly recommend! Staff is very knowledgeable. Thank you Piazza Sorrento!
Yes
This place is the BEST!! We have tried multiple things on the menu from the bruschetta to the pizza to the sausage and pasta to multiple desserts and so much more...everything has been absolutely delicious! Food comes out with a slip of paper showing it’s gluten free. And the gluten free bread is delish! My son who is not gluten free prefers it over the regular rolls they bring out. Every time we go to Hershey we make sure to stop here! My daughter has Celiac and she loves having so many options to choose from. I would say I wish we had one closer to our home but I wouldn’t fit through my doorway if we did!
Yes
Great Italian food and they stick a little gf paper on all gf plates, very attentive to details. I had bread and ravioli with meat sauce, and my meal was fantastic.
Yes
Spent just the weekend in Hershey and I so wish we had a place like this back home! The food was amazing, with a full menu of options, including apps, soups, pizza, entrees, AND deserts!! They even bring out GF bread. All of the staff were polite and knowledgeable about Celiac and gluten free prep. Loved it so much we had dinner there 2 nights in a row! 100% recommend!
Selected based on previous reviews. Hostess offered me a GF menu before I could even ask. And the GF menu was extensive. Pasta booked separately and they were very aware of CC. Had chicken with pesto and tagliatelle which was excellent. Even had GF crostini which I think was Schar baguette. Highly recommend.
Yes
They are very careful about cross contamination. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend.

What a wonderful place. The staff were fantastic, there was a GF menu as others mentioned, my GF daughter loved every course!

I was on vacation with my family and we wanted to go out for dinner. I found Piazza Sorrento on this app and felt very confident I could safely eat here. Per their website, Piazza Sorrento is endorsed by the Gluten Intolerance Group of Harrisburg (GIG) and the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America. They aren't one of those places to offer gf options but then no nothing about protecting the customer or what gluten actually is. Each gf dish comes marked with a strip stating it's a gf dish. We called ahead to make a reservation and they had my gf menu waiting for me. The choices are extensive and the food is delicious. I haven't had a real Italian meal since being diagnosed and this was a real treat. If you're in or near Hershey, go here!
Yes
Gluten free menu! The staff took great care in making sure there were no mix ups between gluten free and non gluten free. Food was delicious. Was even able to have dessert!
Yes
Great staff. First thing we were asked was about food allergies. All gluten free dishes labeled when brought to table. Excellent service. Will definitely recommend it!!!
As soon as we walked in, the staff asked if we had anybody who needed a gluten free menu, and this was the most extensive gluten free menu I’ve ever seen! Absolutely awesome choices. The gf bread was delicious and our waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac and what was gluten free/dairy free. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more!
Yes
GF daughter had a generous portion of penne Bolognese. Was delicious. GF menu had many choices, including dessert and bread for dinner to dip in oil. She was delighted. Wait staff was well versed in GF. No concerns. Other non-GF food was also delicious, ranging from crabcakes to lasagna.
Yes
Amazing, large separate menu. Staff is well trained. GF rolls, lasagna, more pasta than be described and GF deserts! Highly recommend, and I'm very sensitive.
Fantastic, highly recommend. Did not get sick. Great menu.
Huge gluten free menu, and food comes labeled as gluten free. This was by far the best gluten free experience we’ve had in the two years since two of our kids were diagnosed with celiac disease.
Yes
Sunday GF menu is pizza and subs. No fries or other regular GF menu items on Sundays. My GF sub was very good. $26 for two people for one GF steak and cheese sub for me plus one regular steak and cheese sub, fries and soda for my guest. Four hours post lunch and safe to say it is celiac safe.
Yes
Amazing! Two page GF menu, including apps and dessert. The pizza was delicious and the crab dip was wonderful. We will be back! The waitress had a relative with celiac so I felt very safe. She said the kitchen was trained on cross contamination and I did not get sick. Success!

May 4, 2019. Fantastic. Had the GF Steak and blue cheese Alfredo. Perfectly safe to eat. Highly recommended.

Lots of menu options that are gf. From apps to dessert (and gf garlic bread)
Great menu! Great variety and lots of options. I had a delicious pasta and chicken dish. Gluten free beers on the menu as well. Meals come out with a note on the plate that the meal is GF. Highly recommend. Wish it was closer!

My favorite gluten free place I have ever been to. I am from North Carolina and only come here to visit my in-laws. We found this place together and since then I try to go there a couple times every time I am in town. I HIGHLY recommend the gluten free Tiramisu, completely worth the trip to Pa just for that.
Yes
Food was excellent and safe. My kids have Celiac. My son had raviolis which was delicious. Daughter had pizza which she also liked. they have a two page menu only thing is make reservations. We didn’t so we were able to do take out. Two pages of gluten free menu and desserts
Amazing find!! GIG trained and very knowledgeable about our multiple dietary restrictions. Brought out gf bread to the table!!!! One of the best gluten free dining experiences I have had. Food was authentically Italian and delicious. All gluten free food came out with a piece of paper noting that it was gluten free.

What a great experience! We were in Hershey for the day and used this app to find a place for dinner. We ate there last night, 9/15/18. The menu gives you so many wonderful choices it was hard to make up my mind. In front of the GF menu they explain their certification from the International Gluten Intolerance Group. The waitress was amazing at explaining the food prep and that all GF food comes out with a label. She also said that she has had one time where the label fell off so that if it comes out without one, don’t eat it and she’ll get me a new plate.
They brought out a sliced UDI’s hoagie roll first. It reminded me of crisp Italian bread. The salad was fresh and the balsamic dressing was amazing. I had the special, penne with an olive oil/ garlic/chili pepper/lime sauce with house made smoked salmon. It was heaven on a plate. I even had dessert, tiramisu which was fantastic. My husband who does not eat gf had the lasagna and is still raving about it. I highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

Our go to place for dinner while in Hershey! The staff is well trained in handling gluten allergies and the food is always delicious! Always look forward to traveling to Hershey just so we can go to this restaurant!

We gave this restaurant a 5 Star rating for many reasons and here a few of them. The atmosphere was very authentic Italian. The bar was nicely set in the front with regular seating on either side separated by walls which made conversation easier. There was a GF menu available and the waitress asked if we would like to see it before we did. There were so many choices I had a hard time making a selection. Not just spaghetti and sauce, but Alfredo, lasagna, primavera, etc. I’m never optimistic about how good a GF dish will be. I’ve had enough bad ones, but my meal was perfect! The pasta and sauce was how I remember it before I was GF. I had grilled chicken Alfredo. Pasta was tender and the sauce was creamy. The GF bread was served hot and soft. There were families in the restaurant and they seemed happy. This place had plenty of choices for non GF folks to. The portion I got was just right. I would recommend this restaurant as a safe place for Celiac. They served my meal with a label to avoid serving me the wrong food. I feel like they understand GF concerns and took measures to protect me from gluten exposure.
Staff really helpful and understand Celiacs.
Fully aware and accommodating for Celiac! Excellent service!
Yes
Huge GF menu with 9 different handmade GF desserts. Very allergy conscious and willing to accommodate. Hands down the best GF homemade bread I have ever had. So grateful for a restaurant that "gets it" because I'm allergic, so it is no joke
I love the lasagna. Of cource everything else is just as good
Yes
This place is great, their food is delicious and well knowledgeable about GF
Staff very knowledgeable, staff was very friendly and pizza was delicious! I highly recommend this place.

Manager came out and spoke to us about cross contamination. Pizza is cooked in same oven so I opted not to try it. Lasagne was delicious and tiramisu was yummy!
Yes
This place is great. Asked us right away about allergies. My daughter and I are celiac and have ALWAYS had a great experience here. Delicious. Lots of GF options. Don’t pass this place up!
Restaurant was very accommodating to my dietary needs (GF and DF). They were able to alter one of the gluten free dishes to make it dairy free as well. The dishes all come to your table with a note indicating it is Gluten Free. My dish was pretty tasty too!
Yes
I had 2 VERY DIFFERENT experiences. The restaurant side was amazing, helpful staff, clearly labeled menu, delicious food, they even put a little paper on your place that says "Gluten Free option". I had GF pizza, salad, bruschetta AND GF tiramisu, whatttt??? I felt totally find during and after my meal, no digestive issues (which we all know is the "true test" haha)
The next day I went to the just pizza/subs side, which is the only thing open on Sundays. The staff was rude and unorganized. They acted annoyed by my GF choices. They brought out my chicken parm sub, and as I picked it up to take a bite, I noticed the bread was too "bready" (I know, not a term...) so I took it back to the counter. The staff again was rude and annoyed that I got the wrong thing and said "we'll bring the right one right out". They made it a little too quickly and after a few bites I felt sick. Not sure if the whole experience colored my meal, but either way I didn't eat the sub. Very sad that a place who promotes so many gluten free options and even has worked with a gluten free certification is not consistent across the board.
No
We stopped her for lunch on a Saturday while in the Hershey area. The hostess and waiter both asked about allergies up front. There were plenty of Gluten Free options with a dedicated gluten free menu.
We ordered the bruschetta appetizer on GF bread. The bread wasn't toasted enough and ended up soggy from the bruschetta. Not enough flavor in the tomatoes either.
I ordered the GF penne vodka and my daughter (with Celiac) ordered the GF cheese ravioli. The penne vodka was tasty but the GF pasta they used was corn-based. It was on the hard side - more than al-dente. The lunch portion was a bit small, especially since a salad was not included. My daughter's 4 ravioli was also on the small side. The sauce was a bit bland and the ravioli filling didn't have much flavor either. When we were ordering, we asked what the pasta was made of and our waiter informed us that none of the GF pasta was made in house and he could bring us the labels. I declined but should have taken him up on it to find out what brands to not bother buying again.
When the waiter brought out our food, he had regular pizza and a dish with bread on the rim that was hanging over my daughter's ravioli plate. My plate should have had a GF label but it "blew off" on the way out. We were short on time so I made it seem like no big deal to my daughter but inside I desperately prayed no bread crumbs ended up in my daughter's food.
Bottom line is my daughter didn't get sick but I don't know that I would go out of my way to eat here again.
