It’s so refreshing to see a place where hubby can swallow most of the menu without any issues for cross contamination or being glutened. He ordered the GF pizza which is made in a separate oven. The quality is great and emerge pizza flavor is really good. I ordered a white bean and kale soup and it was really good. We also had the cheese bread which is to die for. Highly recommended
Was sooo excited because everything on menu was gluten free....but evidently NOT..I ordered the gluten free pizza and a Caesar salad, and was assured by server that I would be fine...well I was soo sick, something got cross contaminated. I didn't realize they had regular pizza crust until I heard another table ordering non-gluten free crust..ugh..So if you are going to do a true gluten-free restaurant do a completely GF restaurant. If someone wants a regular pizza, who are not Celiac they have millions of choices...I do not....
Everything in restaurant is gluten free. For non GF customers they can order non GF pizza crust if they want. I had GF pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. It was delicious. I had raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. I highly recommend the Scottsdale Arizona location.
Amazing Gluten free food and dairy free also and I believe the other major allergies. The pizza is incredible and this last time I had chicken parmigiana that was both gluten and dairy free and it was wonderful. Every time I go, I have to have their exceptional NY style cheezecake, which you would never know is gluten and dairy free. In fact other people I was with couldn't believe it wasn't! Everyone was happy with their meals, although this last time there was a problem with the Chicken Picasa but the wonderful staff took care of everything. They are always very friendly and eager to help and all seem to be very knowledgeable. This is by far, my favorite Gluten free restaurant... and not just in Arizona. Go and enjoy, you won't regret it.
Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The Pasta Bianca was amazing. Then they got ride of the spinach fettuccine. Ok I was bummed but the I got used plain fettuccine. Then they only offered the supper thick spaghetti or penne. Basically now they are no better then any other place that only has one or two pasta options and quite a bit more expensive at $14-17 a plate. I'll keep asking, maybe they will bring some of the other stuff back. 😩
In AZ for a wedding. Stopped here and was amazed at gf offering. Pizza and bread were delicious. Looking at trying to go back for raviolis. This restaurant is in several towns which makes it easy to see the sights and not worry about where to eat.
AMAZING FOOD!!! I had the Meatballz appetizer, Nonna's Favorite pizza, & the Tiramisu!!! All gluten free & INCREDIBLE!!! Friendly, knowledgeable staff & cool, chilled-out atmosphere! It was just me, so lots of leftovers! & just as yummy later!
Love this place because they understand celiac and cross contamination. Everything (everything!) on the menu is gluten free. It was so refreshing to look a the menu and really have options. We ordered the pizza. Unfortunately, it was very soggy although it didn't taste bad. I have had better gf pizza crusts elsewhere. Still, will keep this on the list of places to go whenever we visit Phoenix.
My wife and two out of three of our kids are celiac, it's very hard to find restaurants that understand the importance of not eating gluten and other allergies, such as dairy. Picazzo'z Organic is one of the best we've ever been, and we travel a lot. Totally recommended!
The majority of their menu is gf, even the after dinner mints. If you want a place you can trust to not be glutened, this is it. And even better, it tastes like the glutened counterpart. Love that it's organic too. My only complaint is there is not one in the west valley. They also comped a birthday dessert. Definitely returning.
A lot of gf options. Just not all that great and pretty pricey for what it is. They do have dairy free cheese. Lots of low gluten beers, which is a bummer because there are so many actually gluten free options out there.
Amazing! Staff extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to explain the main and dedicated prep area. The first thing they ask you is if you have any allergies they should be aware of. Food is amazing, I have been several times and will definitely go back often. Oh and the cauliflower pizza crust is incredible.
This review is long overdue, and I'm almost ashamed I didn't get to it until now. But I'm writing it right before we plan to go back, it was so memorable. We visited the Cactus Rd location a couple of months ago and had a fantastic time! Our server, Kale, was one of the best servers we've had at ANY restaurant. And that's saying a lot - we're middle aged and we eat out a LOT. So we've got a lot of experience and not always that easy to please. But we were certainly pleased with Picazzo's, not just because of the remarkably great service from Kale (more on that later) but also because of the food quality, particularly for gluten-free. I know, I know, when you eat gluten-free or gluten-friendly, you're always qualifying your opinion with "this was really good for a gluten-free version of X." But at Picazzo's the food really IS that good, and you don't need the qualifier. My wife has the gluten allergy, I don't, and I had no complaints whatsoever. I specifically remember the cheese focaccia was really good. Didn't fall apart, didn't crumble, really tasted great. And the turkey meatballs were also excellent. We didn't even try the pizza, but it looked great. I had the eggplant Parmesan and it was excellent. I mean, there are a TON of gf options at this place, and everything we did have was great. Since we're planning another visit to Phoenix, no way we're missing Picazzo's again. It was THAT good. A significant part of our positive experience was the service delivered by Kale. He has a great personality, very friendly and approachable. He did all the mechanical things skillfully - acknowledged us quickly, got our drinks (and by the way he's a great bartender because I had one of the mixed drinks, the Prickly Pear Margarita), timed our meal perfectly by giving us enough time to enjoy the appetizers before ordering the main dish, checked on us to see how we were doing - but more than just the mechanics of serving, he brought an art to it. I'm serious, there is just something about this guy, Kale, that brings serving to another level. It was easy and pleasant to engage with him. He had great menu knowledge, and made good recommendations. He seemed to enjoy what he's doing, and it shows in the quality of service he delivers. Picazzo's has a winning formula, that's all I know. This is a restaurant where you can not only enjoy great food, excellent service, and even have lots of great gluten-free options. How could you not like it?
Everything is GF (except for one pizza crust option, clearly labeled)! They have a Vegan menu as well, so plenty of options for gluten and dairy free guests. Amazing food, and no issues with cross contamination. It’s almost hard to believe it’s GF!
Super safe and incredibly tasty! They have GF wings, croutons, and a variety of desserts. There are so many GF options. My son and I love this place. We’ve visited three different locations numerous times and have never been disappointed.
Unbelievable! Practically everything on the menu was gluten free! I had meatballs for an appetizer which were yummy and pizza for the meal. Pizza was great too! Desert menu is GF as well with 4 choices of tiramisu, cheesecake, cookie w/ice cream or apple crisp w/ice cream! I had the apple crisp with coconut ice cream, yum!
Oh my goodness, all the rave reviews are true! I kept skipping over this place in the results list because it just looked like an ad. The chicken, bacon & herbs pizza was flat-out AMAZING! We went back two or three more times in less than a week. There is quite a lot to choose from - but when I selected something different on a subsequent visit, although it was good - I still went back to my fave - the chicken, bacon & herbs.
This is the first place I ate out at after getting the celiac diagnosis. I have been a number of times and have never had a bad time. Staff is amazing and friendly. On multiple occasions I have had the GF chicken bbq pizza. Their lunch specials are great too. My non-GF boyfriend loves this place as well.
This place is extremely knowledgeable about celiac and contamination. It’s literally the only restaurant I feel safe eating at in the Phoenix area. Unfortunately, they’ve made some changes in the last few months, and it’s not as great as it used to be. They did away with the large GF pizza, which was part of what made me feel “normal” eating here. Now they only have small pizzas, the crust is doughier than it used to be, and it’s very expensive. The appetizers are smaller too (4 meatballs? For $11?)... it’s like portions shrank and price tags inflated. I don’t like that they’re catering to fad dieters more than they used to (the new menus clearly marked everything “keto friendly” but I had to request a special vegan menu to more clearly understand what’s dairy and egg free?), but I’ve NEVER been glutened here, so that’s good at least.
Reliably good food and consistently gluten-free. Service a bit slow, and I was stunned to over hear that this “GF restaurant” only has one GF oven. I guess the demand for their traditional pizza has trumped their GF pizzas resulting in super slow service for GF oven items. Seems like they need to add an oven. Anyway, good food, so plan for a long wait for your order. It’ll be worth it! The garlic cheese focaccia is AMAZING.
The menu is very close to being completely GF. They really should just get rid of the regular pizza and be done with it, haha. Anyway, DH (celiac) did not have any issue and the food is very good. Delicious pizza crust - and they offer a cauliflower version if that's your thing. A little on the pricey side, but not bad for Sedona. EXCELLENT service. Speedy and accurate. Highly recommend.
They understand Celiac Disease and their menu is almost entirely gluten free. I have CD and have dined in several of their locations with zero problems. Their pizzas are more gourmet rather than what you would find at most pizza places. Good variety of enjoyable pizzas. Also a good, gluten free selection of gluten free pastas.
Omg! This place is amazing for those with gluten free allergies and other allergies. The first thing we were asked was if there were any allergies at the table tonight. After telling the waiter that I had celiac, he proudly shared that I was in luck because everything was gluten free— score! My son and I split the lasagna. It was fantastic! My non-GF (picky eater) husband had chicken wings tossed in bbq maple. He really enjoyed those. We also ordered some baked cheese, which was super tasty! Whether you have allergies or not, I don’t think anyone will leave disappointed in this place. They use high quality ingredients and make from scratch food. We will visit Picazzo’s the next time we are in Phoenix!
We ate here twice during our 5 day trip to Phoenix. Such a great find!! Our only disappointment was they ran out of ravioli both times. Non-Celiac husband says the lasagna is the best he’s ever had! Everything we tried was really good. Be sure to save room for dessert. Tiramisu is absolutely phenomenal. So nice to find a go-to restaurant that’s delicious and safe!
Such a great Gluten Free friendly establishment. I was in such a shock when my brain finally realized their pasta was GF. First restaurant I’ve been to that I could get warm GF bread at dinner and Cheese ravioli. They are Vegan and Vegetarian friendly as well. The staff was super nice. Pricey, but oh so worth it.
Having a gluten and dairy allergy can be tough when eating out, but my goodness this restaurant has so many options vegan and gf because mostly everything is gf! Highly recommend. I had the chicken picatta and it was phenomenal and full of flavor. Wish I could take this restaurant back to our home state!
Wow! I found heaven for GF people! I can’t recommend highly enough. Everything is GF unless you order the pizza specifically with wheat. we had lasagna with sweet potatoes and focaccia bread, chicken parm with noodles, beets and focaccia bread, a side salad, a pizza cookie with coconut ice cream. We had leftovers for two whole meals. I’ve previously had pizza and cocktails which was also very good. Had a whole vegan menu as well. Amazing!

Great Variety of GF Italian food and pizza. Almost the entire menu is gluten free. The GF pasta was good and you have unusual GF options, such as crusted chicken or eggplant parmigiana. I loved the tiramisu. The entire desert menu is GF.
