The gf pizza is great—very flavorful. There are two gf crusts—the original and cauliflower. I always eat the meaty, meaty on the original crust.Delicious! The salads with gf croutons are also very good. We’ve been to the ones in Scottsdale, Tempe, Gilbert and Sedona. Consistently great meals.
Overall, food was pretty good. Lost stars for lack of kids food and not great service. Almost entire menu is GF, dedicated pizza oven (another oven for gluten pizzas), only serves GF pasta. One of my celiac kiddos didn’t eat anything as the first meal wasn’t great and then by the time they brought out the replacement (after a reminder), she wasn’t hungry anymore and we were all done. Probably would do take out for the pizzas or adults only.
Good food. All GF (pasta, apps, salads, pizza crusts) except pizza crusts that contain gluten by request. Dedicated GF pizza oven. When I called to ask about prep, they were a little confused given everything is gluten free (with one exception). We ate there multiple times and did not get sick.
What a surprise to find a gluten-free restaurant that isn’t your typical small establishment with questionable food results. I had the gluten free Chicken Parmesan with pasta and green beans. My husband had a (non-GF) pizza. In this place, all the food is GF except for the non-GF pizza crust which is baked in a separate pizza oven.
Stopped in for lunch and glad we did. They have a lunch special w a slice of pizza and soup or salad. Opted for the tomato soup. The slice was huge as was the bowl of soup. We could have shared one lunch special.
Everything was excellent. And, everything is gf. They do offer non-gf pizza they cook in a separate oven, but idk why they bother. Their GF pizza is some of the best I've had.
Everything is gluten free! If you want pizza with gluten, it’s a special order.
Enjoyed nibbles of baked chicken wings and the spinach artichoke dip. Brought take out to nephew of chicken Parmesan and he said if we didn’t tell him it was gf, he wouldn’t have known. It was that good! Will be back our next visit!
I went to Picazzos two times while on vacation. The food was pretty good. The Pizza was okay while the pasta was AMAZING. They have plenty of options and have a high amount of knowledge about celiac which was great for me. The workers were friendly and seemed like they enjoyed their job.
While the cheese bread and broccolini were fantastic, the GF pizza left something to be desired. The dough wasn’t risen and quite flavorless. Quite a disappointment after such flavorful garlic bread. My recommendation? Give the cauliflower crust a try, because the regular GF crust is šš¼
Everything was amazing! We had cheese bread and the artichoke dip. Best artichoke dip I've ever had. I had Caesar salad and chicken parm. Caesar dressing was sooooo good. Chicken parm was enough for 3 meals. My husband got gf pizza. It was very good. He's leery of gf food but loved everything! Service was great. Even the t-shirts the servers wear were about being gf!
We love this place! My husband and I both have celiac and we have never gotten sick from eating here. Lots of options for vegan as well as an amazing GF menu. I love the Zo’s salad and tomato soup. My husband enjoyed the baked vegan chicken penne. Very knowledgeable staff, great service and wonderful food. They have several locations and we have enjoyed 4 of them thus far and we will be back when visiting Phoenix!
We visit Scottsdale at least once a year and we always eat at Picazzo’s at least once, usually twice. The food is delicious and I’ve never had a bad reaction. My favorites are the lasagna and the pesto ravioli, items I can’t usually get anywhere else. Although they do offer regular pizza, everything else on the menu is gluten-free. Picazzo’s is my favorite Scottsdale restaurant.
we have been customers here for 11 years now, and our son with celiac has been fine, until last year when he became extremely ill from gluten--twice. maybe there has been a change in management because there is an obvious problem with prep in the kitchen. we always emphasize the fact that our son has celiac when placing orders and ask that the food be prepared safely and to wear fresh gloves. very disappointing as this was our favorite restaurant
All gf, easy to do gf, too. This is my second Pizarro's visit in the last 3 days. Amazing! Wish there was one near me. Great food! Focaccia and brie app. Sangira. Linguine and turkey meatballs. All terrific. Reservations for parties of 6 or more. This place makes me feel so safe... I just might fly in to eat here again.
It’s so refreshing to see a place where hubby can swallow most of the menu without any issues for cross contamination or being glutened. He ordered the GF pizza which is made in a separate oven. The quality is great and emerge pizza flavor is really good. I ordered a white bean and kale soup and it was really good. We also had the cheese bread which is to die for. Highly recommended
We had Mama’s meat-za balls, chicken parmesan, chicken piccata, baked rigatoni, and the hot apple crisp with the DF coconut gelato. The meatballs were good, but not great and the focaccia tasted more like plan bread, everything else was outstanding! I love chicken piccata and this one is very flavorful, without being too heavy. My husband kept raving about how good the Italian sausage was in the baked rigatoni. The entire menu (except one pizza dough) is GF! They have an allergen app online, so I was able to determine exactly what was safe for me to eat ahead of time. https://m.nutritionix.com/picazzos/portal
Wow! Wood fired gluten free pizza with a dedicated oven for gf! They have 2 options for gf crusts which they make themselves. I chose the regular gluten free crust over the gf cauliflower crust. I’m assuming the one I had was made from rice. It was GOOD however not the best gf pizza crust I’ve ever had. If I were to eat there again I would definitely try the cauliflower crust. They also offer regular (gluten) crusts which are prepped and cooked separately from the gf pizzas. My husband thought it was great and he is partial lol at about pizza!
