Highly recommend coming earlier in the day or pre-ordering. We went in the afternoon and they were already sold out of a lot of ready to go treats, but we were still able to try some of them. The mini-mudpie crusties/cookies were very tasty and buttery/flakey (even though they don't use butter) The cookie dough bites were a hit with the kids. The pumpkin spice coffee cake was very good, but the salted caramel chocolate chip coffee cake was ok (this one tasted like it was top 8 free). The snickerdoodle cookie was very good and soft too. It felt good to eat at a dedicated gluten-free bakery. I will definitely go back when I’m in town (and may even have my relatives send me some for the holidays!)
Pie Jacked Bakery is dedicated to making delicious and safe foods for people with food allergies, celiac disease, and other food-based sensitivities. We maintain the taste of tradition while offering safe alternative to the favorites you grew up with. We started our bakery with our 5 generation pie making legacy, but also offer staples like breads and biscuits, as well as birthday cakes, cookies, quick breads, and lots of other goodies. You can order directly through our website, including holiday preordering, or you can stop in during our regular business hours and choose directly from the case. We are transparent about our ingredients and have ingredient lists available online and in person to look at.
I actually ordered some treats to pick up after flying in for a wedding. I’m not a big pie fan, but my son in law is and my daughter and I both have celiac. So we got pies and oh my! Best gf crust I’ve ever had! The blueberry and cherry were the best! I also loved the cookie dough and the chocolate donuts (more like a brownie). The cinnamon coffee cake was great too!
I love their molasses cookies, biscuits, white bread, white clover rolls, cupcakes & donuts.
My go-to store for all my gluten & corn-free needs! I’m a celiac and purchase items from Pie Jacked often.
I’m editing my review as their covid policies just make this place impossible to shop from on a regular basis. They dramatically cut back their hours and still ask for masking (November 2022) for incredibly brief interactions. I tried to make an online holiday order and they automatically included a HUGE tip for fronzen things I was buying. I’m a big tipper and often overtip BUT tips are intended for service, like when someone is a waiter. It’s very off putting when it’s automatically added like that, especially when the business is going so far out of their way to provide service. If you’re really afraid of getting covid, or monkey pox, or whatever, from two minute interactions (mostly outside) then there are tons of ways to still provide good service. It’s just over the top in a way that has drastically changed how easy it is to frequent their location. I really wonder why they even have a storefront at all or how they support it with business practices like this. Big bummer as we all love to support gf/df businesses in a big way. I’d become a frequent customer again if things were to change!
Hi Jessie83673, I'm sorry you're having trouble shopping with us and aren't happy with our online ordering situation. While we are still taking covid-19 seriously for the health of our immunocompromised patrons (many people with food allergies have other health issues that put them at greater risk), but we are not requiring masking at this time. While we do have a sign up saying "Masks Appreciated" and our staff still masks for the sake of our customers, they are NOT required. You're right, we went from being open until 6pm weekdays to 4pm weekdays, but we have continued to stay open on Saturdays, although we did stay open until 6pm for Thanksgiving pick ups last week. Our hours are adjusted to accommodate our staff and their childcare needs. Our staff makes everything we do possible and so we allow for the option of leaving a tip. I can review our online ordering app's defaults to make sure it is no longer set to a "HUGE" amount, but tips are never required and can always be adjusted or removed entirely. I hope this addresses some of your concerns and I'm so sorry your experience with us feels 1 star.
We spent over $30 and the pies were tasteless. If you make gluten-free at home, then just stop by the store and get some ingredients to do it yourself. We also got the brownie, coffee cake, and bites. They were 2 star at best. My daughter who is a celiac did not get sick but she said she would rather me just make her some treats.
Amazing!! I haven’t had pie in years. I got the mini apple pie and it was heavenly!
This place was such a treat! We stopped twice while on our 3 day trip. I had two of the cinnamon coffeecakes which were outstanding! I had their pie crust cookies with chocolate on top, double chocolate donut, and vanilla donut with chocolate frosting! You would never know that it is free of all major allergens! Worth the stop!
Great to be able to eat pie and sweets in a dedicated facility free of the 8 major allergens. Will be back!
My daughter picked up some personal sized GF pies for my husband’s birthday. This bakery is a total gem! Every item they make is free of the top 8 allergens. We tried the peach and cherry and they were outstanding. Tomorrow we will eat the blueberry and apple. and we can’t wait. The crusts and fillings were very light and flavorful. They also have several different flavors of coffee cake. We are going to try them on our next visit. Highly recommend this bakery.
